I use the 150mp for dual purposes. My main purpose was to use it as an office TV. I looked at all the LCD TV's and found this one to be the best buy by far for a 15" TV. The picture is clear and bright and the imbeded tuner and remote control are great features. I also connected it to an older computer that I only use for word processing and the quality of print is equal to my 20" NEC LCD monitor. I am very impressed with this Samsung product and can't wait for them to come out with a 20" plus TV/monitor. Samsung has made me a customer for life!

This is primarily a computer monitor for me, but potential
buyers shouldn't overlook the flat screen TV capabilities
of this product. It is half the price of the Sharp LCD flat
screen TV's. It includes a remote control, automatically scans
for channels picked up from the 75 Ohm antenna/cable connecion
and accepts a regular (composite) video input or an S-video
input from your DVD player. The tuner is good for off the air broadcasts, I'm using a few feet of wire and get good reception. The video scaler - the circuitry that converts 512 line video to the native 768 lines of the display - is perfect. The sound is good. The base swivels so you can hang it on the wall as well.

This is a super monitor with clearness unsurpassed ... my previous monitor was a 20" one and I like this one even better, even if its a 15" one ... and the pix in a pix is great ... can work and keep track of the programs at the same time ... exceeds my expectations!

I bought this monitor/TV a year ago to use as a TV in my bedroom. No problems at all and I love the clear picture. I'm going to be buying the 17 inch for my computer for Christmas.

Buy this monitor, use it as a flat screen tv and pay half of what you would pay if you bought it as a tv. You can even hang it on the wall! Has all the different video and stereo inputs and a great picture. The size is compact and lightweight. I have never used it as a monitor because my computer already had a samsung 17 inch lcd. We were looking at Sharp and Phillips flatscreens last year for our bedroom when we found this and have been delighted with our purchase.

I've been in the market for quite some time to replace my aging CRT monitor, especially since it takes up an enormous amount of my desk. Looking at the monitors in my price range, it basically seemed like I could purchase either a 15" or 17" monitor. I'd been told to always buy the biggest monitor you can afford, but I'm not so sure that's true in this case. I took a chance and purchased this 15" Samsung, and so far I'm extremely glad I did. The picture is extremely sharp, bright, and very clear, every bit as good as any other 15" inch monitor I previewed. Furthermore, this monitor seems like just the right size for my desk, any larger and I honestly think it would take up too much space. But, the thing that really makes me happy is the fact that it can basically act as a very high quality TV, complete with a remote control and pretty decent speakers. Maybe in a year or so, I'll change my mind and decide to upgrade to a larger LCD monitor. Well, I'm sure prices will have dropped quite a bit, and there will always be more bargains to be found. However, I can always use this current Samsung as a TV next to my bed, placed on a wall somewhere, or in my kitchen. I can't say the same for any other monitor I could have bought. In other words, maybe in a few years I'll buy a new monitor, but there will be plenty of great uses for this one. Any other monitor I'd probably junk. If you're in the market for an LCD monitor, consider the fact that it will probably last you many years. Wouldn't it be nice if not only it could be a great primary display, but also could be used a few years down the road for something else? I can't recommend this monitor highly enough, and I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

We use this as our kitchen TV. It takes up a fraction of the space as our 13" TV did and has a larger viewing area. It has a great picture and works well with the VCR as well. Very happy with this product. Haven't tried it as a monitor but seems as though it would be great.

As a monitor this one gets 5 stars... as a TV it gets 4 stars... overall 4.5. When using it as a TV image quality decreases at closer ranges, and also sound quality could definetly be improved... the good about the TV is the PiP mode, 64x Digital Zoom, and that the built in TV-Tunner is NSTC/PAL/SECAM compatible...

Ahhhh... It only weights around 9 pounds...

As I'm writing this review, I'm watching the evening news. The picture in a picture mode is great for watching TV while using the computer. My previous monitor was a CRT, known for its sharpness, but it hoarded my desk space, not to mention a monster of weight to move. The LCD sharpness is almost as good as the CRT; the other features of this monitor, especially thin size and light weight, make up for the tiny difference in sharpness.

The monitor's speakers are pretty good, and external speakers can be added. I had hoped I could run my computer sound through it, but only the TV plays through it. I have a MacIntosh G4 Cube, so it may be a minor incompatibility. By keeping the Cube's USB speakers connected to the computer for computer use and using the monitor's speakers for TV/Video use, I've had no other problems.

I would suggest this monitor for college students, or anyone who lives in a dorm/small living space, yet wants to have both a desktop computer and video entertainment system.

I purchased a refurbished version of this item and while it works most of the time, the sometimes that it doesn't are very irritating. Because it is refurbished, no refund, thanks Samsung, appreciate that. I bought it based on it's high ratings, but perhaps I should have gotten a new one.

While watching the TV mode of the screen, the sound will occasionally cut out, leading me to trying to turn it up which sometimes works. Other times I just have to turn it off for a few hours.

Sometimes the screen just turns off all together, or goes into a power save mode while I am working! I remember to save my work constantly so that not all is lost.

And the remote doesn't work properly. Some keys work.

I regret having paid for this unsatisfactory box with buttons, however lightweight it may be. It doesn't come with wall mounts either, those are $40 to $100 elsewhere.
