Perfect size for a college dorm or on a desk.

Solid monitor if you want multiple HDMI inputs, a 27" LED monitor, and the ability to use audio (though I only recommend using the speakers in a pinch)!

I loved it over a year and a half ago, and I still love it today.

Bought this from Costco to evaluate. The other review appears to be correct, there is no HDMI audio return so that you cannot use this for your ATSC tuner and have the TV sound played through a stereo. That scuttles this for me (as a primary home theater TV).

Other than that, this monitor has a crisp, vibrant look. Pixar's UP, and the BD release of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY looked great on this. Digital TV performance was okay with an external antenna. Changing the display aspect took several steps, which is annoying as one of our local PBS stations insists on broadcasting in a letterboxed 4:3 widescreen format, not conventional 16:9. But this monitor supports not only 1080p, but 24p which is an advanced capability for Blu-Ray movies to display at the film's correct original 24-frames-per-second frame-rate. I'll be looking for this in my next TV purchase. (Update: I later bought a Samsung UN40ES6100 series SmartTV which has this and many other advance color correction options.)

The stand and viewing angle is fixed, and this TV has a 2-5° tilt forward and down ... another annoyance that precludes me from keeping it.

I purchased the Samsung T27A300 about 2 weeks ago and am very satisfied with my purchase. I bought it refurbished and on sale at $206. The monitor itself is very crisp, very bright, and big. I read a lot of reviews about the lack of an audio out and the on-board speakers being terrible, which are both true. The on board speakers aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be, but the lack of an audio out truly disappoints me, it is not a deal breaker though. Since I mainly use it with my computer its not a bug deal. I compared it to apples 24" LED monitor and the picture wasn't far off, being around $400 cheaper with multiple inputs, it was great. I was a little hesitant at first since I had a 22" Tv/Monitor from samsung and it was absolute garbage, but this monitor is very nice. The tilt can go far back and a little to the front (5* back and 1* front)
In short: Great monitor/TV with a great picture. Perfect size for a college dorm or on a desk.

Pros:
-Great picture, depth, and brightness
-Cheap
-Perfect size (for a small room)
-Does what its suposed to
-USB media play is cool (I guess)

Cons:
-Speakers aren't very good.
-No audio out
-Samsung's stands are ugly as hell.

1. Default sound inferior quality and inadequate volume. Tweaking the settings can improve it.
2. No Audio out, because it is a monitor
3. Good picture. Many different settings available
4. Screen tends to tip slightly forward
5. In spite of problems, we will keep it.

Bought a refurb, which arrived in a generic oversized box but in excellent condition. Reviewers are right that the sound is tinny, but that is the norm for this type of display generally. Slimness has its trade-offs. My workaround was running the sound directly from the TW cable box and a blu-ray to a Zvox Mini I already owned. Other than the neccesity of another remote, works fine. Solid image quality with a decent viewing angle. Whoever fine tuned the TV settings before returning it did a good job. A refurb plus the Zvox makes for a pretty good 27" set-up.

This is a update to the below, obviously I did not get it figured out well when I wrote that. Actually, the HDMI plug #2 seems to be 720p, and the HDMI plug #1 seems to be 1080p. 100% full res as advertised. My story is improving. The monitor is really great to look at. Have not tried it as a tv. That would be a secondary interest to me. Prior, erroneous review below.

The display is marketed at 1080p. If that were the case its native resolution would be 1920×1080. This is not the case. The native resolution is 1360x768. You can figure that out by going to the system preferences on your computer and changing the resolution until it looks sharp. SHARP. Sorry. That is the point, a sharp display. No reason to accept all those pixels if you're just going to combine every other one. This is a bad marketing job Samsung.
