This is a very nice looking stand and was easy to put together. Unfortunately, there are some issues that limit its effectiveness. First, there is very little headroom for electronic equipment. A modern receiver probably is both too long and too tall to fit in the stand. Second, the back panel makes it difficult to access components and limits the amount to which they can be pushed to the back of the stand. Beautiful stand, but hindered by design choices.

I bought this stand last week when it was $183 & free shipping with Amazon Prime. What a deal! It's a great price and looks nice too. I was afraid it would look to cheap, but I am surprised how nice it looks. Nobody mentions how tall the shelves are. The top glass shelf measures 5 1/2 inches high. The bottom shelf has a little more room for equipment. That measures 7 inches high. The center of it has a little more room.

If you have just one item and want to put it in the middle of that bottom shelf it will work. Under the top shelf there is a black design under each side of glass and it takes up room just on the sides. You can't really see it in the picture. The black piece that holds up the top shelf sticks down a couple inches on each side so that's why the height is a little lower on the sides. I hope that makes sense.

The only thing I was NOT happy with is the customer service. When my husband went to put it together a piece broke. Nothing major, but still. He called the customer service # and they said somebody would call us back later. They never did and that was a week ago. I paid for next day delivery and they didn't even care to help with the problem. My husband went to Home Depot and found the parts for a couple dollars.

Because this is adjustable for 50" to 61", there are many adjustable parts. Actually those are adjustable with high quality looking parts, seeming with enough strength.
However adjustable parts won't fit perfectly.
This means not hard to assemble but looks a little bit cheaper while assemble and after assembled.
And making perfect fit at assemble (tighting bolts) was impossible for me, especially the fit to top board and sede piller.
On the other hand, this one is not so expensive compared to cheaper looking one at furniture store.

I ordered this stand in tandem with the 61" television. I was hoping that a stand from Samsung matched to my Samsung TV would simplify matters for me, but, that wasn't the case. In fact, the stand has turned-out to be my greatest source of headaches.

The first stand came to me damaged. Now, I had not opened the pkg while the delivery man was present. Although I probably should have. The package looked like it had been opened during shipment. All of the wood is made from particle board and is, therefore, very easily damaged. The package had been dropped and one of the corners of the shelfs was smashed.

Amazon was good about getting a replacement to me. It arrived two days later. The appearance of the replacement package looked better. This time I opened it and gave a quick inspection of all the components prior to the driver leaving. I found that similar damage had taken place to the same component in a different location. This time the damage was in a location where it would not be visible once assembled. Once again, Amazon was helpful in that they refunded 20% of the purchase price for the damage. I had wasted enough time on the stand. I just wanted the matter closed. The TV was late being delayed, but was going to arrive the following morning. I was simply out of time. After seeing how it's packaged, I'm not all that surprised that they have difficulty delivering the item in perfect condition.

During assembly, I noted several other complaints with this item. The finish left quite a bit to be desired, just poor workmanship. One piece in particular had a pretty poor finish on it. But, it's not noticeable once assembled. The glass shelf support structure is second rate. There are some guides for the glass panels that afix to some threaded inserts on the back panel. When I fastened one of them into the back panel, one of the threaded inserts stripped out. A visual inspection of the hole revealed a portion of a drill bit, that some dumb jerk on the assembly line broke off (and incredibly left) inside the hole. So naturally once I threaded in the fastener, it bottomed out on the broken drill bit and shoved the threaded insert out of the hole. Very poor quality control by Samsung and/or their supplier (I hope the TV isn't this poor). I managed to partially seat the glass panel guide. I was afraid to try and drill out the remaining drill bit. It's not right ... but, it should be functional.

So now it's sitting there all put together. And, I'm generally pleased with its appearance. I have not installed any components to the shelves yet. But, I can see how the other complaints about a lack of space could be a problem. If you are like me, you'd probably never buy a black automobile. Keeping one clean would simply be too much trouble. I suspect that I'm going to wish that I had selected something in a different color. This thing looks like it is going to be a dust magnet.

If I could do this over again, I'd purchase a stand from a local business. And, I doubt I would go with this particular one. There is simply no way that I saved enough money by purchasing this item online to compensate me for the headaches and lack of quality the stand has given me.

So I came home one day to find a box on my porch containing my new TV stand. Excited about my new TV (which was coming the next day) I tore open the box to put together the new stand. The instructions were in 8 fairly simple steps. If you've ever put together furniture of any kind, this will be simple for you as long as you don't tighten the bolts until the end! I had to put on "wings" to accommodate my 56" TV (The stand is adjustable 50"-61") and was having trouble getting them on until I loosened everything else and that made it easier.

Where this product lost two stars was in practicality. Those beautiful glass shelves don't extend all the way to the edge of the stand because I adjusted it for a larger size than 50". Alright that's not so bad in and of itself, but those glass shelves also don't even hold a standing regular DVD box. The lower shelf in the middle has enough room for say, about 15 DVD boxes. All of the rest of it doesn't have enough space. It's fine for a DVD player, an Xbox, and a satellite receiver. But I had to move my Wii to a nearby shelf to make it fit.

If I could do it over again I would've written down the dimensions of the TV and gone down to a local furniture store and picked out something with more storage, better design, and greater efficiency. As it stands, it is all right, but if you're thinking about buying this stand for your new TV, you'd be a lot happier shopping around in person... for the cost, you could do better. 3/5...

I bought this stand because it was the reccomended model for the Samsung 5686 DLP TV I purchased. It is nice quality, and went together very easily and looks nice as well.

Like the other stated below, there is little room for equipment. The AV receiver I purchased would not fit on the top shelf, so I had to put it on the bottom and it just barely fit. No doors on the front of the unit either which is less than preferable.

Overall its a nice stand, fits the TV line well, but If I had to do it over again, I probably would have went with something else.

This is a very sturdy stand and easy to put together. My 56" Samsung DLP looks great on this stand. You will save about $70 getting this stand from Amazon over your local electronic store. I would highly recommend this product.

Once put together, the stand looks great! It came in perfect shape and took around 40 minutes or so to put together. The instructions were very specific and I would recommend to anyone who is buying the hl-s model TVs. I disagree with the other reviewer, I do not think the adjustable extensions make the stand look cheap...they are the same material and color as the rest of the stand the only thing that is different is there is a slight line of space between where the stand and the extension is. This line will in no way be visible once the TV is on the stand.

Great Item when it comes without damages. First set, the top panel was pummeled. Reordered top piece and received a top panel that had more damage than the first, still have not received third. Buy elsewhere, they don't know how to deliver.

The product looks nice..... It is simple to put together..... The instructions were simple to follow..... But.... DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU HAVE ANY COMPONENTS OF DECENT SIZE. I barely have jammed 1 receiver, 1 dvd player, 1 laser disc player and 1 satelite receiver into this stand. Since the components hang over the edge of the glass shelves, they wobble making the items uneven. DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU HAVE A COUPLE OF SMALL COMPONENTS.
