I bought the unit for a guest room of our bed and breakfast inn, so the features I got for the relative cost was the driving factor. The picture is good and the remote control is relatively simple. I feel I got good value for my money, and I would buy one again for one of our guest rooms. If it were for myself, I probably would spend more for a higher-end model.

For those unwilling or unable to upgrade to the LCD, Plasma, and DLP technologies, this should do just fine so far as video. I've had mine for several years. I've not had one problem with any feature, save for a slow reacting volume control. For a tube TV, the picture is surprisingly clear and movement isn't slow or blurry. Taking advantage of the component hookups in back, any progressive scan DVD player should look just fine. This is not a $2000 TV, but it does well all things considered.

This was a good tv while it lasted. Color and picture were clear. However after 3 short years the picture decided to go dark, but the sound still worked.

This TV has very good picture when I hook it up using it's component plugs to my DVD player. The picture is very sharp, there is a lot of detail, and the colors are awesome. The only problem is that the darker colors (when there is a lot of darkness in the picture), the picture begins to look a bit blurry. Also, there are times when I am playing a DVD that a small green blob begins to develop in the upper left hand side of the TV screen. It goes away after a couple of minutes. This is the only reason I will not give it a 5 star rating. Overall, however, this TV is awesome for the price!

I WAS JUST A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COLOR OF THE TV, IN THE PHOTO IS LOOKS LIKE ITS BLACK AND ITS NOT ITS DARK GRAY. THIS SAMSUNG TV WAS OK FOR ME FOR THE PRICE, I GUESS I EXPECTED TO MUCH SINCE I ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER SAMSUNG TV AT HOME AND THE QUALITY AND PICTURE OF THAT TV IS EXCELLENT! DONT GET ME WRONG THE QUALITY AND PICTURE OF THIS 24" SAMSUNG TV I JUST PURCHASED WELL ITS GOOD FOR THE PRICE, BUT NOT EXCELLENT.

The picture quality is fine, the stereo sound is decent, and for the money it's a good value. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. My only issue is that after about an hour and a half into a DVD a green spot appears just left of the center of the screen and continues to grow. This is even more pronounced when the DVD remains on pause. This is easily fixed by turning the TV off for a couple of minutes and then turning it back on. Not the biggest issue, but I'm thinking of seeing if I can get this fixed at Best Buy where it's still under the store's warranty.

In short, I have to say this product's a great buy for the price, especially considering it's a 24" flat screen that has great sound & picture quality and a sleek, stylish design. Plus, speaking from past experience, Samsung makes great, durable TV's. I'm giving it 4 Stars (instead of 5 Stars) only because I haven't explored all of its features, but I'm very satisfied with my purchase thus far. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a 'bigger' or decent-sized TV without the intimidating price tag.

i think this tv is a very good buy. it has very good picture with he component inputs hooked up to my 360. i overall think this tv is very good. recommended by me and my best friend

I bought this TV a year ago from Best Buy. At first, I was greatly impressed. The picture was great, the sound quality was great, it was turning out to be a great buy.

Now, however, the TV shuts off randomly, sometimes within seconds of turning it on. I took it to Best Buy, but the warranty had expired, only parts were covered. They wanted half the initial cost of the TV to fix it WITHOUT the parts. I declined.

For those of you who have the money to recycle televisions every year, then buy this TV. Those of you who are looking for a long-term investment, however, should look elsewhere!

The T.V. was purchased with insurance money collected from UPS when they broke a T.V. a relative sent to me. This Samsung was the right size and looked the best when I went to an A.V. store and compared it with others on display. Unfortunately either the Amazon retailer or UPS screwed up again and this T.V. came dinged up with small dents on the upper right and left front casing and there was a small gouge in the perforated plastic in front of the right speaker. I had to take the plastic shell off and screw it back on to align it properly (the grey top was warped such that it did not lay flush with the black screen casing).

I should note that the T.V. itself works only moderately well. There are frequently discolored ovals in the center left and right about 1 inch wide and 3 inches high. This effect is only noticeable in some backgrounds with normal reception but is much more frequent when watching dvds. If I had an easy way of getting a replacement I certainly would have. I'm just fed up with dealing with UPS and was willing to settle for being ripped off.
