Yes, it's call Audio Out
Can you utilize a set of analog speakers from the Audio Out for for more and better sound. Dec 18, 2012
In terms of audio out, there is a digital audio out port and a 3.5mm 1/8" out port. Therefore, you can't plug analog speakers that use the two red and black clips directly into the set, but you could use either of these ports to connect an amplifier or receiver to which you could connect your analog speakers. If your analog speakers use RCA input, you could use the 3.5mm 1/8" out port plus a Y-shaped 3.5mm to RCA wire to connect them. Hope this helps!
You can use a good pair of PC speakers and they can be had for well under $100. Look at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0027VT6V4/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=depregarde-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B0027VT6V4&adid=0QVADAW63WY06MCZ0VQN& And you'll need a Y cable, see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=depregarde-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B00004Z5CP&adid=0AC6EXKZTJ86F1DTF45J& And then to put it all together, see this article - http://www.ehow.com/how_5723943_connect-pc-speakers-lcd-tv.html
Is it possible to hook up a Macbook Pro to this TV? If so, how can I do that? I noticed someone said there is no VGA port. Thanks! Jan 30, 2013
Hi, this particular model has 2 HDMI inputs, and no VGA. Depending on the connectors on the Mac you may need to use an adapter. The main advantage of an HDMI connection is that it also streams audio over the same cable. But if it doesn't have one, there are adapters to stream video only. Good Luck!
Sorry, don't know.
