I use the smartphone app to type and a wireless mouse to navigate. But you can get a wireless keyboard with inbuilt mouse so you can navigate and type pretty easily.

Probably, but it depends on the apps on your TV, the quality of the apps on your TV and how that compares to the Blu-Ray you choose. If you didn't have the TV, you could also buy a good/great TV with HDMI, but skip the built in apps and buy a great Blu-Ray with app/AnyNet support. I have heard/read Samsung isn't so good on the Blu-Ray, but Sony is.

Yes you can. There is an app for amazon streaming, download it and follow the instructions on screen.
