I like the indicator light on the cable that shows when its charging the phone and the phone is connected to the computer. Even though the cable shielding is not as thick as the original cable provided by Samsung it still is very durable and has take a bit of abuse and still works. You do have to download the phone drivers from so that your computer will recognize the phone and charge it.

I looked around online for this product at a reasonable price.
The USB connector cable that comes with Samsung phones DOES NOT charge your phone, it merely provides data connectivity to the host computer. I think it's silly of Samsung to do this, but I suppose they try to keep costs down or something by doing this. Anyways, this product works great, now I can charge my phone wherever I have a computer (computer lab, laptop, etc). I don't use my phone as a modem now, but if I do in the future, this charging/sync cable will work perfectly by keeping my phone charged while it connects to the Sprint network. Buy this cable if you use your Samsung phone as a modem, or even if you just want a convenient way to charge your phone during the day. The phone I use this with is a Sprint Samsung MM-A900M.
