5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING
Ok this is my first "in the ear" bluetooth headset, and I got it right. I wasn't a fan of "over the ear" headsets they would bug me to death. Moving to a ear canal headset was an easy change this headset doesn't fit deep down into the ear canal like the Motorola H9, although the WEP500 fits in the ear canal too, but you don't have to push it to your brain to make it...

1.0 out of 5 stars WEP500 Poor Listener Sound Quality
While the size is great, the sound quality complaints from listeners forced me to return the product. The unit was compatible with my Sprint Samsung m500 phone, and I even purchased the same bluetooth unit from the Sprint store. I wanted to see if it exhibited the same unacceptable listener sound quality. It did so I would not recommend others purchase the unit. I...

Ok this is my first "in the ear" bluetooth headset, and I got it right. I wasn't a fan of "over the ear" headsets they would bug me to death. Moving to a ear canal headset was an easy change this headset doesn't fit deep down into the ear canal like the Motorola H9, although the WEP500 fits in the ear canal too, but you don't have to push it to your brain to make it work. This comes w/ 3 ear pieces Lg, Med & Sm. the factory one already attached works well. Samsung's noise cancellation works very well, no complaints of "tunneling, echoing etc. Standby time is 80hrs..plenty time to not justify not being equipped with a car adapter, comes with home/travel charger and takes 2hrs from dead to full chrg. I would recommend this headset to anyone looking to get away from "over the ear" headsets, and anyone that wants a clean look.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, Except for the Talk button placement, April 17, 2008
By
This is my 4th BT Headset (Plantronics > WEP200 > Jabra JX10, now WEP 500). First and foremost I think the sound quality is excellent, on par with the Plantronics 510, and pretty stylish. My only gripe is the placement of the talk button. It is right on the back edge of the device which happens to coincide with portion that goes in your ear. What this means is, it is nearly impossible to push the device securely in your ear without pushing the button. If the device is on when you try to put it in your ear, you will inevitably unintentionally trigger BT features on your phone (whatever single tap is linked to). I have a Blackberry Pearl, my button is linked to redial. As a workaround I just make sure the device is off before I push it into my ear, this lets me get it in without triggering the phone. Other than that, again it's a pretty good high quality headset.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pros & cons Oem WEP500, August 10, 2008
I recently purchased the Samsung WEP 500 to replace a different model that I lost. It is small, light weight, and is very comfortable to wear. However, the placement of the control button, causes the user to constantly redial the last number, when trying to adjust the fit of the earpiece. Also, I could not get a good clear connection as with other models I tried.

I tried it with other phones (Motorola Peeble, etc) with the same listener quality problems.

1.0 out of 5 stars all 4 have a reception problem - replacement request, June 11, 2008
We need to replace all 4 pieces, I think this model have some sort of a defect
All have reception problems and noise interruptions and we tried with few different mobile phones that are compatible.

This model is not recommended at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love the device!, September 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung WEP500 Bluetooth Headset (Electronics)
I purchased this item before. However my dog thought it was a doggie treat. When I seen this product online I just had to get another one. It's small which I love. I have purchased several bluetooth, but they were to big, or they were just not worth it. This one however is so small and discreet you hardly remember you have it on. The only problem I have with it is you have to be very careful when you handle it. For it will dial the last called number. Other than that I LOVE this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible design, November 6, 2008
Pros: Small design

Cons: WONT STAY IN EAR! Horrible location of multi-purpse button!!!

Summary: This is by far the worst bluetooth headset I have purchased. This device will not stay put in your ear for an extended period of time. No matter how you position it, it will slowly slide out. Also, the multi purpose button is in a very bad location. It's located at the very top of the device which is horrible because when you re-position the device, which you will have to do often after it slips out, you WILL touch the button. This often results in accidental hang-ups or redials. I've had this headset for less than a week and I'm already looking for a replacement for it. I wouldn't GIVE this device away. It will be discarded of.

4.0 out of 5 stars Samsung WEP500, October 12, 2008
I love this headset, it's so small and when you wear it, you can't even tell it's in your ear, unlike the bigger bluetooth headets. I love it and would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a great bluetooth
