Amazon.com Product Description

Offering a sleek and sophisticated design, the Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth mono communication headset delivers crisp and clear communications by canceling out background noise. With its dual microphone noise and echo canceling technology, the WEP700 provides the ability to communicate in any noise condition--whether sitting in the bleachers surrounded by cheering fans, walking down a windy city street, or riding in a convertible.

The Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth headset in black.
The WEP700 provides revolutionary noise cancellation through digital signal processing (DSP). Employing two microphones with voice separation technology, the WEP700 combats annoying ambient noise like wind, background chatter, and music. By using Bluetooth version 2.0 with EDR, this headset further ensures your conversations will be crystal clear. And as the ambient noise levels change, this headset is quick to respond with automatic volume control.

The on-the-ear design of this headset provides the flexibility of a detachable ear hook, which is both small and lightweight. It provides up to 6 hours of talk time, and up to 200 hours of standby time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Awkard, but functional, January 7, 2009

This review is from: Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth Wireless Headset (Colors Based on Availability. May come in Black or Silver) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth Headset is everything that the manufacturer claims in it's advertising, however, the "buttonology" can be a bit awkward to get used to. Pushing the Call button will automatically dial the last person called, while holding the same button down for 2-3 seconds then releasing it will allow you to use voice commands, and the same button held down for just a little longer will shut the unit off. This may cause issues if you keep calling the same number or can't figure out why the voice command feature isn't coming up because you weren't paying attention to the length of time you pressed the call button. If patience (or timing) is not one of your virtues I would look for something that automatically triggers the voice command feature rather than last number called and has a separate on/off switch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Everyone can hear me, but they think I'm in a barrel, July 21, 2008

I can hear just fine. People can understand me with the headset on, but they often ask if I'm calling from a bathroom or from inside a barrel. They can can hear me when I'm outside, even in the wind. I'm not sure what the claimed battery life is, but I wish it lasted a little longer. Easy to use.

4.0 out of 5 stars My first bluetooth headset, October 4, 2008
This review is from: Samsung WEP700 Bluetooth Wireless Headset (Colors Based on Availability. May come in Black or Silver) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Since this is my first bluetooth headset, I do not have anything to compare it to except a Logitech headset that has a wire. I chose this one because it was the only one I could be sure would match my phone, Samsung M520. The headset is very lightweight, I hear others very well as long as there are minimal noises around me. No real complaints from my callers about the headset except an occasional comment that the caller hears themselves (echo) when i use it. I am wondering if they are hearing background noise and not their own voice (tv in background?). There also seems to be a slight lag time in the volume controls, so if you push repeatedly it takes a second or two to catch up to the adjustment. The headset is still relatively new for me so I probably don't use it to its full potential, but it is great for what I bought it for... i am able to drive hands free to and from work, also i can work in the kitchen and make calls. Downside for me is that as long as the bluetooth is on and near my phone, the only ring that can be heard is in the headset, so i have occasionally missed calls. My fix to that is turning the headset off when i don't need it.
