Outstanding,
This review is from: Samsung : WF328AAW 4.0 cu. ft. Front Load Washer - Neat White
I did a lot of research before buying this item. It is installed in a new upstairs laundry so vibration and noise were a huge consideration. I was leaning towards the LG but it has steam clean and the Samsung offered silver care. I was not at all convinced that silver care would do any good but I knew that I would not use the stean clean( too hard on clothes). Turns out silver care kills bacteria and everything comes out smelling clean. The VRT really reduces vibration. I am very pleased with this product.

Quietly efficient,
This review is from: Samsung : WF328AAW 4.0 cu. ft. Front Load Washer - Neat White
We replaced our 10+ year old W-D pair (GE, still functional fully and nothing wrong, just needed a change) with Samsung's duo. We find it convenient to load, it is whisper quiet, water-saving and good to look at. With the stand, the loading height is just right, while the stand offers extra storage space for soap and softener.Hard to comment on the durability, since this is a new purchase, but hope it lasts as long as the previous pair of W-D lasted.

Broke down barely over a year old,

Purchased this machine in June of 09, the first washer the seal leaked. The store brought out a different washer and it ran fine until last week. The tub wouldn't drain. Repairman came out and the drain pump is bad. Now I have to wait for the part to be ordered and I will have to take off work again for the repair. This was an expensive machine and shouldn't have needed repaired after 1 year. This is after getting my Samsung dryer (model DV218AEW) fixed last week. It took a month for the dryer to be fixed because the thermistor was on back order w/Samsung, the element was bad too but that one was in stock! Dryer was purchased at the same time. After spending this much money on the set I find myself going to the laundromat yet again, waste of time and money when I have machines at home that should work. Very disappointed, I expected better quality for the price paid than this.

Unreliable and dangerous,

This machine started to leak water from the bottom while it is draining on its 13rd month of life, just out of warranty. When the pump operates, it leaks water real fast. This is NOT an automatic washer. Even if the faulty part will be replaced, you need to stand or sit in front of the machine everytime you use it, because anything can happen anytime. Would you want your floor to be completely wet, water leaking to the first floor, damaging electrical contacts and cause fire? Probably not. This is a totally unreliable machine. This machine is faulty, defective and dangerous. It must be recalled soon. Actually it should have never entered into the U.S. Territory and should have been sold on markets where it actually belonged to. I repeat; Even after that critical part is replaced, you cannot trust this machine at all because is is NOT an automatic washer anymore.

We bought this washer almost 3 years ago. At the time, there were no reviews online about it, but I figured Samsung was a good name, so we went with it. What a mistake! Like others, the pump broke just after a year. I called Samsung, and the folks they sent out charged us $50 just to show up at our door. Then they said the problem was that a coin got stuck in the pump and killed the pump. I figured it was a fluke thing, and let it go. Well, the pump just broke again, and likely it is a coin or a button or something. I was quite furious when I called Samsung this time as it is the SECOND time in 3 years that this machine has broken down. After getting no help from the original Customer No Service person, I asked to be transferred to her manager. I found out why she was so unhelpful. He was downright rude! When I tried to talk, he repeatedly interrupted me and became quite obnoxious when I told him to stop interrupting me and let me finish a sentence.Apparently, there is no filter on the pump to keep things out and the main drain is NOT through the holes in the drum, it is from the front and it's wide open, so if you happen to lose a larger button off your clothes while it is washing, you will kill the pump. Though he agreed that there should be no way for a coin or a button to get through to the pump, he said it was still our problem and Samsung would not help. this machine is poor design, and Samsung's customer service was absolutely HORRID!! They will never see another dollar from my wallet for ANY product. If I could give it a negative amount of stars, I would in a heartbeat.

I started on the page with my exact washer, but somehow ended up with the WF328 etc. Anyway I don't think the exact model is important. I think they all use less water, and less electricity. The problem, I feel is due to the less water usage. With this new washer, it became very clear, that all sorts of pet hairs, people hairs, etc. are left on the clothes, compared with my old front loader. The difference I feel is due to the less water used in these newer machines. I could see the water in my old machine and there was a fair amount of sloshing about of water. With this type of low water usage machine, I can't see a water level at all as it only uses a minimal amount, and the result is all kinds of hairs, lint, etc. of whatever is left on the clothes. I have been line-drying as it is the summer time. Maybe the dryer will take care of this problem when it gets too cold to line-dry. I don't have a water shortage problem where I live, so I really didn't need this "enviromental" feature. Just a point to consider before purchasing. I hope to save someone from my finding out after the fact (of purchasing).

like another review says, Samsung service is horrid. We have this washer, and the problems have got to the point that its unusable. Problems started about a month after our purchase. we have been fed every lie by samsung you can think of. We are still waiting on a part, that Samsung themselves said they would over see, that was to ship in 1 day. its day 8 now.

I would avoid samsung products. They have absolutely terrible service. They will lie to you on purpose, waste your time, and hope you go away. I will never buy another samsung product, you would be best served to find another brand. |
