5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Adapter!, April 14, 2009
By TweetyPacer "Ken" (Lewisville, TX) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Wow, this wireless adapter could not be any easier to set up! Using on my Samsung BDP-1600 Blu-Ray, I just plugged it in, went to the DVD menu, setup, selected my wireless network which brought up a keyboard to enter my network password. Instantly and automatically, it connected to the network and gives you a code, which you enter on Netflix (just follow the on-screen TV instructions). INSTANT MOVIES! Very good quality. You can get HD quality movies with a type "N" router, but I only have a type "G", but still, the quality is great! If you unplug the adapter and replug it in, it automatically reconnects to your router and Netflix so you don't have to go through setup again.

I highly recommend it for streaming your Netflix movies to your TV (my TV is a Samsung LN52A630)

5.0 out of 5 stars Samsung Wireless LAN Adaptor for Blu-Ray Player, May 26, 2009
I have the Samsung LN52A-650 LCD TV and the BD-P1600 Blu-Ray player. I have wireless internet access in my house. Initially, I had a real problem getting the BR player to connect to the internet. It would find my SSID but would not connect. When I set the configuration to manual and input all the requested information, it failed the Ping test. After hours of troubleshooting, I found a piece of information on the web, telling me that the SSID cannot have characters or spaces in the ID. I had spaces in the SSID name, so once I fixed that, it connected without a problem. I didn't need to buy a new wireless router. That seemed to be the leading fix for this problem for others on the web. However, I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-configuring a new wireless router nor did I wanted to spend the money on one. In the end, I didn't have to.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enable Your Samsung BD-P1600 Wireless Connection, May 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been using a bridge to connect my Samsung BD-P1600 1080p Blu-Ray Disc Player to my home network. However, I did find that at times it would lose the connection. So, I decided to try out the official Samsung Adapter. Here are my thoughts and opinions:

Pros:

- It's easy to install and doesn't require extra wires or cables
- It works as described
- Setup through the Samsung BD-P1600 menu is quick and painless

Cons:

- Price is the main issue as there is no reason this could not have been $20-$35 instead of the $80 you'll need to shell out right now.

Four Stars instead of Five because of the price issue.

Overall the unit works as expected, and if you don't already own a wireless bridge and don't want to run a network cable to the unit, you will be happy with your investment.
