4.0 out of 5 stars Good solid phone.
I got this phone after having a frustrating 9 months with a Blackberry. This phone is hands down better.

Nice thing is it works and for me is very solid. I am death on phones. Rarely do I make it to the contract end without totaling a phone. This one rides around in my back pocket all day with me sitting on it. I got to say that it feels like it is not so...

2.0 out of 5 stars Samsung T339
Im not impressed. The phone came with service from TMobile. The phone was free ( supposedly) The first issue I had with it , was the SD card . The slot mysteriously woudlnt allow the card to lock in anymore after about 2 weeks of use. I took it out maybe 3 times in 2 weeks. Really frustrating. The slot mysteriously woudlnt allow the card to lock in anymore after about 2 weeks of use. I took it out maybe 3 times in 2 weeks. Really frustrating. Second the phone lacks a good signal, compared to a "candybar " type really inexpensive phone , held side by side. The surface is so slick it could be dropped easily , and the backlight contrast for the screen is so dim even at maximum , its difficult to see in daylight. Im not real happy with the phone overall.

I got to say that it feels like it is not so good a build quality. That said it has been dropped, stepped on, sat on, thrown and everything else you would never do to a phone (aside from water). It just keeps on working. Even the screen resists scratching well.

There are some cons. It feels plastic-Y It is not the fastest phone in terms of applications. But hey its Windows. Its not as slow as that awful Blackberry Pearl though. Some additional memory helps. It also has a application closer which when used really helps performance. Its not 3G either which means you are using EDGE (slow) to connect online. I don't do a lot of that but it is nice to read the local paper online when eating lunch.

Pros:
The "push" technology works great. Blackberry used to be the only one to offer this great service. Your emails are sent and received quickly and accurately. Being Windows mobile phone has many advantages too. There are literally thousands of applications out there and many are free. I changed out the browser and use Opera now and it is faster. I love the VOIP service too. Anywhere you have access to a wireless connection your calls are free (a monthly 10 dollar fee for the service). I talk a lot for business. Many times my minutes exceed 3000. Yet with my favs and VOIP am able to stay under 1000 for my plan. I have found that all Starbucks, Airports, many restaurants, and business have partnered with T Mobile for hotspots. Great service.

Is the phone perfect... no but I have yet to find one but I would buy this phone again.

4.0 out of 5 stars A lightweight decent phone, July 11, 2010
This review is from: Samsung t339 Phone, Charcoal (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I just bought this phone and even though i havent started using it , i did open and check some features and i gotta say i wasn't disappointed. overall its not a bad phone for the price. The design is elegant. It is the lightest phone i have every owned. The wifi feature definitely comes in handy that allows to use internet/data and voice using tmobile unlimited hotspot service. I didn't like the camera though. Its only 1.3 Mpx but i think thats normal for this kind of phones. All the other features are just standard regular phone features.

2.0 out of 5 stars DONT BUY, September 5, 2009
the phone is not very good. I've had it for 3 months now and i hate it more everyday. the buttons are great on it never had a problem with them. But the shadow FREEZES so much it ridiculous. not worth the money i spent on it. If i was you i would go with a different phone and different provider. T-mobile has terrible service coverage.

1.0 out of 5 stars Freakishly unreliable, December 23, 2009
Either I have unbelievable bad luck or this phone really is junk. I love the versatility of its features - which is the reason I got it in the first place - and its battery life is okay. But after about a month or so of use, the thing stops receiving phone calls. It rings, but no matter what I do it won't answer a call; when this happens, I also have problems dialing out. I can send and receive text messages just fine, but no calls. I've had to have it replaced twice now - both times before the phone's 90 day warranty had expired - for this exact issue, and now my new one's acting up. Really, don't buy this phone.
