Kevin Komisaruk's playing sparkles in these selections from Scheidt's Tabulatura Nova. The playing is bold and vibrant, giving the listener a better idea of the virtuosity of Scheidt and the other students of Sweelinck's school that made them so popular in their time. Unfortunately, this CD is only a partial sampling of the works in the Tabulatura Nova, and one can only hope that Komisaruk will someday record the rest.
