Fourth and most recent of the Marco the Manx series. Marco is taken to Japan by a fisherman who lives near a school. Marco stands off a mean dog bothering the children and is dubbed "Samurai Cat." A sub-plot involved a girl suffering from trauma who cannot speak, but is cured through her love for the cat. Accurate Japanese lore by the author, who has spent much time in Japan.
