5.0 out of 5 stars Another amazing novel by Easton., October 5, 2010

This review is from: Samurai Code: A Jack Taggart Mystery (Mass Market Paperback)
If you have read "Loose Ends", "Above Ground", and "Angel in the Full Moon", then there is no reason for you to read the reviews for "Samurai Code". Don Easton has once again put into words the harsh realities of what an undercover officer faces in the law enforcement world. Shock, pain and, at times, pure hatred are some emotions that is evoked by Easton through the evil characters who dare contend with Jack Taggart. Easton's skills and expertise as a retired officer shines through in his storyline through and through.

Samurai Code was well worth the wait, but if you haven't read any of Easton's books - pick up all four and start from the beginning. Jack and Laura are two people worth getting to know... and keep on your side!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic read. It's all about justice., August 10, 2010

This review is from: Samurai Code: A Jack Taggart Mystery (Mass Market Paperback)
As the fourth installment in the series, "Samurai Code" continues to deliver the action, suspense and grit of the previous novels.

The characters are well developed and human. You will find yourself caring about them, just as Jack Taggart himself cares about all of the victims and is driven to seek justice for them.

Once again, I found myself staying up well past my bedtime to finish the novel, not able to wait to find out what happens next! I look forward to any future installments.

While you can read this novel on its own, for those of you new to the series, I highly recommend picking up the previous three books first ("Loose Ends", "Above Ground" and "Angel in the Full Moon"). Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop!

5.0 out of 5 stars samurai code by Don Easton, August 7, 2010
This review is from: Samurai Code: A Jack Taggart Mystery (Mass Market Paperback)
THIS, should be mandatory reading by all Law Makers, Cabinet Ministers, Lawyers and in particular...JUDGES in the Province of B.C. This `fictional' story is not far off the mark in reality.
As in the three other books with Jack Taggart fighting evil, we find ourselves once again in the underbelly of crime which , it seems, only Taggart can get the job done by playing the `bad guys' rules in order to defeat them.

If you find yourself clenching the book near the end of the story, it is because Mr. Easton has the knack of taking us to a high-tension ending.

This is my kind of "com-up-ance". As Taggart would say: This ain't about the law, it's about JUSTICE!

TOM DONALD
