Book Description

November 1, 2002 9 and upSamurai Jack
Samurai Jack is Cartoon Network's newest hit from the creator of Dexter's Lab. Scholastic is launching with two exciting books -- the story that began his legend, and one all-new adventure.

In the distant past, an evil shape-shifter named Aku has brought destruction upon the land. As the citizens' last hope, a youngster is sent away to train as a samurai warrior. But when he returns as an adult to confront Aku, the warrior finds himself flung into the future, landing in an unknown time and place. There, the locals dub him "Jack" and help him in his heroic quest to return to the past and undo the evil wrought by Aku.

This digest novelization tells the complete Samurai Jack origin story in an exciting, new, graphic-driven way.

More About the Author

I've always had an interest in the paranormal, despite a rather normal childhood in Brooklyn, NY.

I first 'met' Jason Specter a few years ago when I began to read the stories on his website, scarystatesof america.com. I have to admit I was hooked right away.

I challenged Jason to pick his favorites. I told him I'd like him to choose one story from each state. I then used my contacts in the publishing world to help get his stories into print. The result is the book: THE SCARY STATES OF AMERICA.

I hope you enjoy your journey through a world beyond that which we take for granted'the world of undead spirits, unearthly creatures, and unexplained lights in the sky. A world filled with out-of-body experiences and past lives recalled, or, as Jason likes to call this place, The Scary States of America.
