Samurai Showdown is one of the most underrated games of the 90s. First in 93 it had some of the best graphics around. The colors are deep and bright. The fighting can seem a little slow at times, but the fighting is solid. You fight with weapons(swords,spears,ect) and if you lose that weapon you will have to fight with your hands till you can get back to the weapon to pick it up. Also you have a kind of fatality system. Where you can slice off a chunk of him or stab him and watch him bleed. You have twelve fighters and all are different and each have stages. This is one of those games that were really well done and a game you should have if you have a 3DO.
