Solid first CD by a vetran artist. The same groove I connected with on Graceland is still there, but now Bakithi has added much more variety to his repitoire, including more tracks that reval how latin music has influenced his style. Definitely worth the price of admission. This CD is about much more than African Music. It's not "world music" either, but a solid Jazz debut performance.

IT'S GREAT TO HEAR MUSIC THAT IS UNIQUE AND FUN!!! THIS CD TAKES YOU ON A JOURNEY TO FAR AWAY PLACES,WITHOUT LEAVING THE COUCH!! I WOULD SAY THIS MUSIC IS IN THE VIBE OF PAUL SIMON'S GRACELAND WHICH WAS AND IS A GREAT ALBUM. I USED TO LISTEN TO MICHAEL FRANKS AS I SAT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WILL LISTEN TO THIS CD FROM NOW ON! YOU FIND YOURSELF SINGING ALONG TO THESE TUNES AND GROOVIN' TO THE SOUNDS OF SOUTH AFRICA.
