Sup dreamcast gurus! I just got Rush 2049 a couple days ago. It is the best thing I own. First, the graphics are slick, colorful and smooth, with little slowdown. Second, the sound is realistic and the techno soundtrack is awesome. Third, the gameplay. Oh god the gameplay. You get an "I'm not worthy" feeling when you see a sweet shortcut and realize by taking it you're missing about 20 more, the levels are so huge. For example...I drove up the side of a building, straight up, and landed. There was a whole network of other buildings up there that you could jump on to grab more bonus coins, or simply jump 1000 feet to your doom. How's that for complexity? How's this for a competitive edge--you are driving along, some jerk is in front of you and has cut you off. You hit a red switch on the ground and blam!!!! out comes a huge stone fist from a wall, out of nowhere, that smears him, while you zoom by him. Funniest thing in the world. Also, there are plenty of things to unlock so you'll never be bored (160 coins to find). The stunt mode is creative and mind-blowing. The wings let you do tricks you've never thought possible. Plus, the battle mode which is singlehandedly better than the whole Twisted Metal series is sweet. The weapons are hilarious too. Why buy stiff, stuffy, boring racing games where all you do is circle the same track repetitively (like Gran Turismo)? Why not hurtle through a windy clear full-pipe at 180 mph and fly past the competition instead of worry about "torque" and "cornering" and your geeky italian sports cars? Buy Rush instead.

hands down the best multiplayer game EVER,

OK, so you like racing games....thats great, I don't really. But there is this battle mode in this San Francisco Rush 2049 game that is wicked ru. I have been playing nonstop for close to 2 years and I never get tired of it. The physics are excellent, and well are the courses. You keep discovering new jumps and possiblities with each play. The weapons are perfectly designed. There are limes, tube stick, pews, green gun, machinis, emp, balls, and assram. Of course these are the names we came up for the warpens, but you can make an argument that any one of these is the best weapon in the game. they are complement each other perfectly. This game is absolutely perfect, the only downside is you have to play the racing and stunt mode to unlock all the cars! stoop.

It doesn't matter if you are black... or white. This is the most exciting, challenging, strategimus oriented multiplayer in the history of games. It requires supreme tactimus to execute a long-distance greening, or aggressive lime-maying. There is an obvious advantage if you can gain control of tubesticks and limes, but the tables can turn if you get bubble and regain the limes. That is of course unless someone does the deed!

This game is the best racing game that I have ever played for Dreamcast. It beats Crazy Taxi by a longshot. I just got my dreamcast magazine today with a demo disc and this game was on the disc. The graphics are incredible, there are many modes, single race, battle, stunt, and practice, and it is also 4 players. I could only pick one car on the demo, but it handled very well. The controls are very simple. Buy this game now.

This game is hours of family fun!!!,

All 3 phases, racing, stunt, and battle modes are wonderful for family fun since up to 4 people can play at once. Our favorite is the Battle mode, which we basically refer to as "Battle Cars." Over July 4th our family got together and most of the indoor fun centered around this game. And in case you think I am a kid or something--you are right, I am. A 33-year-old kid who plays this with his brothers who go up to 40 years old! Our kids play, too. It is simply the best all-around video game I have ever played! It won't disappoint! There are enough variations with cars (car type, engine, wing types, tires, frame, rims, etc...), races (6 basic tracks with variations), unlocking special items by finding coins (takes hours but is a lot of fun!), stunting (jumping over obstacles and doing tricks with your car!), and of course, battle. If you buy any game for your Dreamcast or N64, buy this one. Yeah, it is a "dead" system now, but I will keep mine until it dies of old age due to this game alone.

San Francisco Rush 2049 is the best racing game I every played. If your not very good at video games you would still love this game there are tons of shortcuts at every level and all the cars basically go the same speed so its a close race almost every time. Even though you can still blow them out. There is only one car that goes faster then every other car it's the car with the rocket on the back of it. You can still beat the car with the rocket on the back of it I'v beaten it plenty of time's this game is four players so you can gather your friends up and play a four player battle or race. The battle mode is when there are weapons you can pickup and fire at your opponets (the weapons are pretty cool)I usually beat my friends in battle mode and sometimes in race. There are tracks you can unlock in this game. I have to admit after a relly really long time of playing this game it can get boring but its lots of fun for me. If you don't have this game your missing out on alot of fun (unless you hate racing games).

A different type of racing game.,

This review is from: San Francisco Rush 2049 (Video Game)
SF Rush 2049 is an interesting twist on the non-traditional racer. It is similar to previous releases of the same title, but with updated graphics and so on. The controls are smooth and pretty simple to learn. The amount of cars, tracks, and different racing modes realy helps the replay value. The battle mode is great for taking breaks from just a normal (if you can call them normal) races. If you like racing games and are not a die hard sim/realism junky then you will love this game. For those that are, stear clear, it's not for you.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: San Francisco Rush 2049 (Video Game)
After playing with my PS2 and Xbox for about a year, I decided to go back to my Dreamcast and play my old games. Now first off, this game is so much fun! There are many tracks with shortcuts and bright backgrounds. The gameplay scheeme is just like the arcade version but with a new "trick" system which i thought as hard at first, but then it became fun. Now you can custimize your car with different engines, frames, paintjobs, tires and many more you can unlock. Oh, and multiplayer is just a blast. Racing is fun, but I liked the battle mode which was pretty cool. This game is my favorite racing game but my only complaint is your car doesnt fall apart and get dents when you crash into walls, I mean the weaker Nintendo 64 version has that feature! Anyways, this is a must buy for Dreamcast owners.

This game rocks the Dreamcast world! I've never been so addicted to a video game. The battle mode is best...even better when you have four people.
