This review is from: The San Gabriels: The Mountain Country From Soledad Canyon to Lytle Creek (Hardcover)
This is a great history of the San Gabriel Mountains, detailing the expansion of the cities at the base of the canyons and mountains. Anyone living in the Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Santa Anita area should be interested in the history of the area, the water flows and subsequent dams. Lots of photos and descriptions. This author also penned "the San Bernardinos", the mountain area from Cajon Pass south-east thru Big Bear and Arrowhead, and San Jacinto. These books are lovely and are on display at my home at all times.

This book was well researched. Our property is Singing Springs which my father purchased in 1947, so we wanted to know more about the history of the area, and this is proving to be a good source. The San Gabriels (Travel and Local Interest)
