The perfect resource for teachers, GS leaders (field trips), parents, grandparents (got the kids for the weekend?), etc...anyone who likes to explore and have fun. It even tells you if you need special clothing, or reservations, or water bottles...they've thought of everything

Where was this book when my kids were smaller?! This is the resource I wish I'd had then. Every parent, or anyone who spends time with kids, should have one. It's complete, fun, and indispensable.

Living in San Jose, I've found no finer guide to the area than this book for the family (even though it's 13 years old). Of course it mentions the big stuff like the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Great America, but the REAL value is in the smaller stuff to do on a saturday afternoon (and you could fill up every saturday afternoon). There really is a wealth of things to do right near home, and this book helps find it. I hope someday we get an update to this book!
