5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious Lemony Beverage December 21, 2005
When you compare the zesty Limonata Sparkling Lemon Beverage to other sparkly lemon beverages, you begin to realize the sheer perfection of the Limonata beverage by San Pellegrino. The balance of lemon, sparkle and zest takes this drink to the level of a gourmet beverage, which requires no mixing.

San Pellegrino is also made with mineral water found near the town of San Pellegrino Terme which is located 70 kilometers northeast of Milan. The water flows from a thermal spring at the foot of a Dolomite mountain wall. The use of this water definitely adds to the energy this drink seems to possess. The carbonation seems more sophisticated and delicate. The only way to describe it is to say these waters are the champagne of sparkling waters.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Soda ever January 9, 2005
My absolute favorite carbonated non-alcoholic beverage. Not over-processed or pumped full of sugar Perfect amount of carbonation and very refreshing, great with meals or by itself. Too bad it's so hard to find in stores.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pricing is out of whack. August 26, 2012
By Justin
You can buy a case of 24 on this same exact site for a dollar less than a 6 pack....and the 6 pack price on Amazon is twice what you would pay for it in a grocery store.

Pay attention folks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lemon Grenade May 3, 2013
First time I ever had this drink was at Potbelly Subs (along with their Italian sub, on wheat, with hots). It's like someone coated a lemon with some natural sugar, filled it with fizz, pulled the pin, and then threw it in your mouth. Yeah, it's that good.

I've been a fan of lemons for some time now, and even more so recently after I learned that they help prevent kidney stones (which I've had and aren't much fun). If you are looking for a refreshing alternative to soda, and the highest percentage of real lemon juice of any drink I've come across (most lemonade is only 14%, this is 18%). Not overly sweet either. Very crisp, almost a sharp tartness, and incredibly refreshing when cold and paired with just about any salty or summer type food (burgers, chicken, bratwurst, etc.). Highly recommend it, just look for it in Kroger or your local natural food store. Usually runs about $7 for a 6-pack, as opposed to the price here which is quite high ($14.50 on Prime).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great taste. Pricy March 24, 2011
I agree with everyone else's opinion on the taste of this beverage. A great mixer, BTW. I buy mine for 35 cents a can at a nearby "surplus outlet" store. I'd rarely, if ever, buy it at full price.

I sent this to a friend who is quite ill and not tolerating much oral intake. This is one of the few things he found delicious and refreshing. It was greatly apprecaited.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zesty, Lemony, Pucker Power! April 8, 2013
I got this on a whim at the grocery today and I must say... it is amazing! I love sour lemonade and this fits the bill. It reminds me of lemon head candies. The initial sip is very sour but it has a nice, not too sweet finish. I definitely recommend this item, but agree with other reviewers about the price. I got a 6-pack at the store for about $1 less plus a 50 cent discount with my grocery card.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love at first sip - and love comes with a cost February 18, 2013
This is my second favorite flavored sparkling water from San Pellegrino (the top of my list is San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange) Sparkling Water.) I love that one for its bitterness and this one for its tartness.

Note that this is readily available from a number of local stores where I live, including our biggest grocery chain and Wal-Mart. I am not going to address the value versus cost issues, which seem exorbitant when purchased online.

What I love is the tart and natural flavor, which is greatly enhanced by the sparkling mineral water. This is a perfect refreshment on a hot and humid day. I also love the caps over the cans, which ensure that the drinking surface will be clean if you consume directly from the can.

Love does come with a cost unfortunately - and it isn't money. For all the tartness each 11.15 ounce can contains an extraordinary amount of sugar. In fact, of the 35 grams of carbs per can, 33 of those grams are sugar. And a deceptively small can is 150 calories. Compared to a smaller, 10 ounce serving of Classic Coke, this has 2 grams more carbs and 30 more calories. I am not complaining about this beverage, nor am I implying that you should be drinking Coke instead. On the contrary, to me there is no comparison between the two beverages, but if you are watching sugar or caloric intake do not be deceived by the natural taste of this lemonata into believing that it's simply flavored water.

Regardless of the nutritional values, I love this drink and always keep at least a six pack of this and the Aranciata Rossa flavor on hand. What I do, though, is enjoy them as a special treat and only occasionally.

This is the only carbonated drink that I buy, aside from Martinelli. It is superrrrrr pricy on here though. If you guys live by a Kroger, it's only 3.99 for a 6-pack. Read more
