SanDisk 8GB SDHC for Nintendo DSi

Before you buy this SanDisk 8GB SDHC for Nintendo DSi, please consider the following facts:

1. You don't really need a SD card to play the Nintendo DSi or DSi XL. The DSi comes with 256MB internal memory, of which about 128MB can be used for photo files and downloaded DSiWare programs. The external memory card is only necessary when:
- You want to backup photos files from your DSi to your computer, or
- You want to play music files on you DSi, or
- You downloaded too many DSiWare programs, and need to off-load some to make room for system memory.

2. There are no special requirements for the external memory card. Any regular SD or SDHC card can be used, regardless of its capacity and speed rating. Note that the photo files of DSi are very tiny (typically under 100KB), so even a 2GB SD card can store something like 20,000 photos. Also you'll not see any speed difference whether you're using 'class-2' or 'class-10' card, because the Nintendo system memory is the bottleneck.

For much lower price, you can get a similar memory card (such as the Kingston 8GB Class-4 SDHC or SanDisk 8GB Class-2 SDHC) instead. So it is hard to justify paying a premium for this product.

Unless, of course, you really like the pretty "Nintendo DSi" logo printed on this card.

I bought this card for a Nintendo DSi that I got for my neices last Christmas. It seems to work well and makes the DSi a more enjoyable video game system. Just as an FYI, you don't have to buy a Nintendo-labeled SD memory card for the DSi; Any SD card will work in it.

Not quite sure if it is an advantage buying this "designed" for Nintendo, but it does the job with no complains.
A little overpriced comparred to regular 8GB SD card (if there is any difference?).

All I can say is that I bought 3 cards for 3 DSi's and all work well with no problems.

When it has came down to the power of the Nintendo DSi, there are so many ways you can get you gameplay, not only from storing great pictures you can make, but from all the games you can download online from the Nintendo DSi Shop. That can comes well, when you get so many great games, but when there is so much room already stored in the Nintendo DSi, you honestly would need a strong memory card to store all your data. That comes well with this Sandisk SDHC Memory Card, specially made for the Nintendo DSi. The memory card works like a charm where you can store all the great photos you can make from your time on the go, to storing all the great DSi Shop titles like Art Style: Aquia and Dr. Mario Express. Not only that, but it also works great for when you want to bring in your memory card in to print up and develop your photos for print-up. At its price, I absolutely recommend this as a must have for anyone whom wants a great way to store and play all your favorite Nintendo DSi memories and games with extra storage to match.

The SD card is an easy piece of hardware to insert into the DS system. There is no science to it just plug and play. I personally like the brand name because I believe it will fit exactly to specifications as designed.

The 8GB Memory card works as advertised. The supplier performed great. Item was shipped within days of purchase and arrived within the assessed timeframe. I couldn't be happier with everything.

Once you learn to open the package with a scissors, all goes well. A snap to install and use, the kids have never had a complaint about storage on their DSi units and they use them daily and on-line.

Well, by th time I purchased this memory I was completly sure I could store th games I had for nintendo Dsi, and play them on my nintendo. But, it wasnt!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to purchase a R4, so I can store n play my games.....!!!!!! This memory only works for pictures n music...........
