I am satisfied with the purchase of this card but a bit disappointed in the write speed. I understand that with these larger capacity cards that you have to sacrifice some speed but I would think a company like Sandisk could get at least 20-30 MB/s write speed out of there highest capacity card. I also own a Sandisk 64GB Extreme Plus card and it can absolutely smoke this thing. But overall if you are using this for a smartphone or tablet you will be happy with it. But if you want to record 4K video at a high bit rate then you might want to search for something with a faster write speed.
Pros:
119GB of storage after format
memory zone app
10yr warranty

Cons:
write speed tops out at about 14MB/s

The primary reason for accepting this extra capacity SanDisk 64GB Ultra Class 10 Micro SDXC 48MB/s speed [Newest Version] for review was to compare with the SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS 30MB/s [Old Version] which I already own and several other similar capacity SDXC cards that I have from different manufacturers. This card reviewed here comes with awesome '10 year' warranty with decent read and write speeds just like the old version. IMHO slightly better read speeds than the old version. Read speeds are very good but the writes are generally slow in these category of cards (Remember what you are paying for) I wanted to share my tests & benchmark photos but Amazon is yet to approve the photos for display. I doubt it will ever get approved for display on this product page.

EDIT: 09/09/2014 (Since I got comments and requests to test on Android devices)
-----------------
Here are my benchmark numbers:
(Tested on PC) - 45.98MB/s read 35.92MB/s write (File Benchmark on Mounted exFAT File-system)
(Tested on Android Phone)(Kit-Kat) - 33.01MB/s read & 12.44MB/s Write Benchmark using A1 SD Bench running on Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 based Motorola phone.

Having said, I have purchased many SanDisk products before in the past. I have yet to have one fail or develop any defects even after prolonged everyday use. The first purchase done several years ago was a mere

I have been using an old version of the SanDisk 64gb SDXC card rated 30MB/sec in my smartphone. I have always preferred a memory card from SanDisk because I have had good experiences with the customer support. This card is newest version and claims 48MB/sec speed. So, according to the specification, the new version should be more than 50% faster than the old one. And below is my CrystalDiskMark results for both 64gb SDXC cards. I ran the tests on my ASUS notebook (i7-4500U 1.8 Ghz, 8GB memory, Windows 8.1 build 9600).

* The NEW Version

Sequential Read : 32.750 MB/s
Sequential Write : 13.849 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 31.239 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 0.748 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 3.414 MB/s [ 833.5 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.936 MB/s [ 228.5 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 2.906 MB/s [ 709.4 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.943 MB/s [ 230.2 IOPS]

* The OLD version

Sequential Read : 33.964 MB/s
Sequential Write : 10.144 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 31.177 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 4.762 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 3.467 MB/s [ 846.4 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.921 MB/s [ 224.8 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 2.958 MB/s [ 722.2 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.481 MB/s [ 117.5 IOPS]

As you see from the above results, the new version showed almost same performance as the old version. Only 'Sequential Write' is 30% faster and rest of the results were rather disappointing. When I actually copied a file size of 1GB from and to both memory cards, I did not feel much speed improvement.

Hi Y. Kim "Zelium",

This is Michael from SanDisk support. The speed of the memory card depends upon various factors. This memory card is supposed to provide 10MB/S of guaranteed write speed when used in UHS environment which in fact can reach up to 30MB/S. The interface used to connect the card to the computer may limit the speed of the card. We may have to perform a speed test on the memory card to check if the card is performing within the specs. I would suggest you to please contact SanDisk support at 1-866-SANDISK or submit a support request at www.sandisk.com/support. We will isolate the issue and will assist you towards a resolution.

Thank you,
SanDisk Support

Received the product as expected. No surprises and the card worked without any issues. Using in a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. Transferred 30G of data, music, and pictures pretty fast. Very happy with the product and price.

Bought this to add to my Surface Pro 3's storage. Worked like a charm. No issues what so ever. Formatted it NTFS and enabled Bit locker. Shows up as Drive D: Moved all my office files, MP3s, photos to the new drive. Working like a charm...

I bought this for my GoPro Hero 4 Silver. My videos (I don't go above 2.7K) are not choppy, and both my videos and photos (up to 30/s) have good color and are clear, so I can see this card is working fine.

I called GoPro tech support to find out whether I would accomplish anything by buying an SD Card with a higher write speed than this one. San Disk sells an Extreme Plus that is supposed to have a write speed up to 80MB/s--but it costs double what I paid for this SD card.

GoPro tech support said to save my money. The reason is that the processor in the camera maxes out around 45MB/s, so a higher write speed won't matter. They said to imagine pouring liquid through a funnel--as you increase the speed that it is being poured in, at some point the funnel backs up depending on how large the opening is, so further increasing the speed won't get the liquid through the funnel any faster. So they said a faster card would not improve my picture quality.

Bottom line: This card works fine and I see no reason to spend any more money for a faster write speed. If someone has different information, please comment.
