The primary reason for accepting this extra capacity SanDisk 64GB Ultra Class 10 Micro SDXC 48MB/s speed [Newest Version] for review was to compare with the SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS 30MB/s [Old Version] which I already own and several other similar capacity SDXC cards that I have from different manufacturers. This card reviewed here comes with awesome '10 year' warranty with decent read and write speeds just like the old version. IMHO slightly better read speeds than the old version. Read speeds are very good but the writes are generally slow in these category of cards (Remember what you are paying for) I wanted to share my tests & benchmark photos but Amazon is yet to approve the photos for display. I doubt it will ever get approved for display on this product page.

EDIT: 09/09/2014 (Since I got comments and requests to test on Android devices)
-----------------
Here are my benchmark numbers:
(Tested on PC) - 45.98MB/s read 35.92MB/s write (File Benchmark on Mounted exFAT File-system)
(Tested on Android Phone)(Kit-Kat) - 33.01MB/s read & 12.44MB/s Write Benchmark using A1 SD Bench running on Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 based Motorola phone.

Having said, I have purchased many SanDisk products before in the past. I have yet to have one fail or develop any defects even after prolonged everyday use. The first purchase done several years ago was a mere

I am satisfied with the purchase of this card but a bit disappointed in the write speed. I understand that with these larger capacity cards that you have to sacrifice some speed but I would think a company like Sandisk could get at least 20-30 MB/s write speed out of there highest capacity card. I also own a Sandisk 64GB Extreme Plus card and it can absolutely smoke this thing. But overall if you are using this for a smartphone or tablet you will be happy with it. But if you want to record 4K video at a high bit rate then you might want to search for something with a faster write speed.
Pros:
119GB of storage after format
memory zone app
10yr warranty

Cons:
write speed tops out at about 14MB/s

Received the product as expected. No surprises and the card worked without any issues. Using in a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. Transferred 30G of data, music, and pictures pretty fast. Very happy with the product and price.

Considering you can basically get the previous "30MB/s" card for about the same price as the new "48MB/s" card, it's pretty much a given to simply buy this updated card with faster read performance. I've used countless flash media over the years and have always come back to SanDisk for their reliability, performance, and value. This latest speedy card is no exception.

But I never make assumptions, so I did run CrystalDiskMark Benchmark on the new version to see how it did. With a 45.92MB/s Read and 14.44 MB/s Write (Sequential), it did not disappoint. Your results will likely vary depending on the system you are using, but that's basically right about what can expect from this class card. I'm on a Dell XPS 15 running Win 8.1.

BENCHMARK: READ / WRITE (in MB/s)

Sequential: 45.92 / 14.44
Random 512K: 41.82 / 0.637
Random 4K: 4.251 / 1.421
Random 4K QD 32: 3.536 / 1.438

Basically it's going to be perfect for most uses in phones, tablets, and other portable devices where sequential speeds are most relevant for media storage. The only exception being something that needs a very high write speed, such as 4K video and high-end SLR cameras. In which case, you'll be looking at a much more expensive card.

For typical everyday tasks, I'll take the nice "free" bump in read speeds and consider this card highly recommended.

Bought this to add to my Surface Pro 3's storage. Worked like a charm. No issues what so ever. Formatted it NTFS and enabled Bit locker. Shows up as Drive D: Moved all my office files, MP3s, photos to the new drive. Working like a charm...

I read 48MB/s and was like YEAH awesome! But then I get the card and that is read speed.

I ordered two of these cards and they both Read ~43MB/s and Write ~17MB/s I will upload my CrystalDiskMark test.

This was the 32GB sized card.

My old version of this card http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009QZH6JS in 64GB size writes just as fast,

It's really unbelievable that this tiny little card holds 64GB, and up to 128GB! Mine holds 64GB...well actually 59.4GB. It arrived already formatted. I have tested it in a Canon digital SLR camera, a Sony Camcorder, and in my PC. It works flawlessly. It has no trouble with 15MP photos, 1080P video, etc. On my own real world PC file transfer benchmark tests it doesn't perform near as well as the specs. I don't really care since others have used actual benchmark software to prove it can handle north of 40MB/s.

Test 1: 4945 files in my Documents folder, 3.85GB total, 10:31, 6.25MB/s
Test 2: 6 MP4/M4Z files, 3.84GB total, 6:08, 10.68MB/s
Test 3: 2 MS Outlook PST files, 1.59GB total, 3:06, 8.75MB/s
Test 4: 4 DVD VOB files, 3.99GB total, 6:26, 10.58MB/s

I actually have this plugged into my PC at the moment, being used as a second backup target for my Mozy backup software. One backup goes up to the cloud, the second backup with change logging stays local. Works great on about 40GB worth of files I have.

I love SanDisk products. Never had one go bad, priced right, perform great. That's the only way you have the confidence as a company to extend a 10yr warranty on a product like this. Highly recommend if you need an insane amount of capacity in the smallest possible form factor.
