I bought the 4GB CF version for use with my Nikon D300. This is the fatsest UDMA card there is, hands down. I compared it in the field with the latest Lexar Professional 333x UDMA, Delkin 300x UDMA and the new Transcend UDMA cards and the lead the Ducati card kept was perceptible. I was shooting continuous with 14-bit RAW format and it kept pace, no problem whatsoever, and no write-lags.Having said that, I may wish to remind you before investing so much money on such a card, make sure you camera supports UDMA cards to take advantage of the speed. If your camera is of the older types then you can settle for a much cheaper slower card, no need to mint your money if your camera cannot utilize the high transfer rate offered by these UDMA cards.

Using this with my Canon 40D, and it's excellent! Haven't managed to max it out even at the highest JPGs on a recent 10 day vacation. Super fast when combined with Sandisk's Extreme reader.

Sandisk 8GB CF Ducati Edition is one the most reliable, fast, and secure memory cards that I've ever used... Even with RAW images in Burst mode, the card takes less than 2 seconds to save the data...I highly recommend this card for any photographer (pro & amateur)...

These cards are extremely fast if you have a camera that is UDMA enabled. Yes they are somewhat pricey but they are reliable and that counts when you wnat to feel secure that your pictures are safe. I am able to see a slight speed improvement when downloading pictures from the card to computer compared to an Extreme IV card.

When I first recieved my sandisk ducati memory card, I was at first wowed by the packaging;(bright, ducati red!) and a little dismayed--I thought, of course, that they must have made the packaging so flashy as to detract from the card, because it didn't perform that much better than the sandisk extreme IV. Well, let me tell you! the sandisk extreme ducati is the fastest performing compact flash card in existence! and rob galbraith's tables confirm this[...]If you have the money to spend and need the speed, this is your card. I do have to say, however, don't buy anything better than extreme III unless YOU HAVE A UDMA CAPABLE CAMERA! I can't tell you how many reviews i've seen where people with canon 40D's, etc. lament how this card is not much faster than their old one. Well duh! you need something like a sony alpha a700, nikon d300, or canon 50D to take advantage of the speed! just a little helpful hint.

When shooting "Continuous High" (6 frames per second), the transfer time from the camera's buffer to the Compact Flash using the Ducati is amazing. When photographing sports, or fast moving objects, the camera is always ready. It's a must for professional and serious amateur photographers (assuming your camera takes advantage of the speed). I rarely use the ULRTA II that came with the camera, once I experienced the Ducati's transfer rate (45 megabytes per second is the manufacturer's specification). The package also includes a handy utility to rescue images that have been deleted (on any memory card format), which has helped me save a client's photos, when her SD Chip became corrupted.

I just shot about 3000 12mb JPEGS at an airshow using this card and a Transcend TS8GCF266 8GB 266x Type 1 Compact Flash Drive which is a 40x card. The Ducati, at 45x, seemed to clear the buffer so fast that at 6 and 8 fps I never got to the point where I was slowed down and waiting for images to be sent to the card from the camera's buffer. I was using a Nikon D300 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only). Outstanding!

This product met all my expectations and more. The fireware reader combo with this card is necessary though. Amazing Speed! Saves a lot of camera battery too.
