The Cruzer Micro offers higher storage capacity than floppy disks and other removable media, faster transfer rates, and better file security through CruzerLock. CruzerLock encrypts your individual files, keeping them safe and secure from prying eyes. Simply choose a personal password, select the file that you want to encrypt, and let CruzerLock do the rest. (CruzerLock is Windows-only; local administrator privileges required for Windows 2000 and XP.)
For most users, the Cruzer Micro is plug and play, with no drivers required. (A Windows 98SE driver is available online at sandisk.com.) Many USB flash drives obstruct the port adjacent to it, making it difficult or impossible to use two USB devices at once. The ultra-small, ultra-thin Cruzer Micro won't cramp your style--no matter how tight things may get.

This review is from: SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive (SDCZ4-2048-A11, Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
The Micro is really tiny, but has trouble with file operations. Here are some specs comparing the speed of the two products. Tests were run on my T43p Thinkpad's USB 2.0 drive:
Copying 1 folder with 18 files (1.5 MB total) Cruzer Mini: 7 seconds Cruzer Micro: 20 seconds Deleting this same folder Mini: 1 second Micro: 15 seconds!!! Copying one 6.5 MB file: Mini: 2 seconds Micro: 4 seconds. Deleting: 1 second on both.

I bought this flash drive after owning and loving a 1GB Cruzer micro for a few months. The 1GB drive goes with me everywhere and when I saw this on sale, I thought I would increase the capacity of the drive I carry around by purchasing this drive.
Although, the 2GB drive is the same physical size as the 1GB cruzer micro it performs nowhere near the same. I keep about 600MB of files on my 1GB Cruzer Micro and decided I was going to move it onto the 2GB Cruzer Micro. I copied the files onto my desktop and then copied onto the 2GB drive. It took 10 minutes to write the files onto the 2GB drive. I thought this was awefully slow as I know my 1GB drive doesn't write this slow. I then wrote the files onto my 1GB drive and it only took 3 minutes and 30 seconds. This is when I knew something was wrong. I tested it a few more times and received the same result. I also tested the drive with one large 350mb file and it wrote it in less than a minute. It seems that the drive can write and delete single files very quickly but does a very slow job at multiple files. I subsequently returned the drive to Amazon.

Just when I said something really nice about SANDisk products they force me to say something not so nice. But SanDisk followed LEXAR's bad lead by creating the very same oh so lame soft sided plastic sleave for its 2GB drive.
Now do not get me wrong this is an awesome drive from a sheer work standpoint. This puppy will gobble up two gig's of data so fast it will make your hair stand straight up! This drive is just nowhere near as solid and strudy as those smaller older sandisk drives encased in that almost indestructably hard plastic. This is a good drive for storing lots of data but be gentle with it because, it is delicate small and made almost as lame in construction as the Lexars. This drive is still far better than the lexar drives but SanDisk took a GAINT Leap backwards in strudy durable quality of its drives with this soft plastic case. For shame and how stupid to have a good product and make it so much more lame. Shows the SanDisk People are not thinking. I am still glad I brought one of these buggers because if you treat them gently they eat up data and hold on to it like few others I have seen.
