I only gave this 4 stars as I just don't see that much speed difference,
reading or writing than the regular Extreme. I use it in a Canon 7D and
a 5DII shooting wildlife and birds for a living. Sandisk is a very dependable
card and it's the only brand I use. I tried Adata and Transcend before going
completely to Sandisk. I had corruption issues with both previous brands and
decided that when it came down to a money shot I needed something I could
rely on.
Try it for yourself. You may get different results. If I start to get different results
with a different card later on then I 'll boost the rating.

This is a fast card. Has a slight speed advantage when formatted in exFAT mode, although this may have compatibility issues with various cameras. ATTO benchmark will barely hit the specified transfer speed. Read speed will hit 90 MB/s while write speed will hit high 70's. Used a USB 3.0 card reader in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which has better USB 3.0 support so far compared to Windows 7.

These aren't cheap, but they're definitely worth it - particularly if you're using high(er) level gear, taking once-in-a-lifetime shots, or just want/need some dependability. I'll leave the hard-core techie evaluations to others, but I will say I've used mine in the mountains of Montana to the South China Sea. In all sorts of environments and conditions - it has held up well.

I've not pushed the speed aspect of this, other than perhaps some HDR photography and some moving wildlife shots. No problems.

It'll be interesting to track the price on these. They usually start dropping dramatically at some point, but not sure if that is true of the "Extreme Pro" line.

Matched with a Canon 5D MarkIII. Primarily RAW images and Video.

I have been using this card for about two years now and at the beginning the card was good but after few months speed was getting slower and slower. Now instead of 90MB/s I can't even get 40MB/s. I wouldn't probably notice that if I did not have 90MB/s card from Lexar. My Lexar 600x performs at 80MB/s so not as advertised as well but 2x faster than Sandisk! I use USB3 card reader to download my photos.

The Sandisk Pro Compactflash 16 GB gives me more capacity to shoot as much as I want and with the 95MB/s of speed I get the shoot I want plus the transfer to my computer is twice as fast. I have always used Sandisk so I know the quality and the dependability is there.

They're expensive but worth the investment. There isn't much to it, just plenty of storage, reliability, and fast transfer speeds.

First card started to fail prematurely (1 month and only 500 RAW shots) where I was unable to review RAW shots on LCD and image on computer had lines running vertically on right half of the picture. I've used several 16gb Extreme Pro with no problems but my first 32gb failed me. I have a replacement on the way from Amazon.

January 21st 2014 update:
4 months and several thousand shots later on the replacement card and no issues at all. Works great with my 5D Mark III and 1DX. I hope it stays this way.

I have used it on my canon EOS 50D and EOS 5D mark II cameras. It is very reliable and fast at 90 MB per second.
I have used it a few time in taking photos in make shift studio. It works with any camera Canon or Nikon in most ranges.
I am glad I got this 16 GB meets most of my needs for casual or work.

It is awesome card. Great performance, great speed and excellent quality. I upgraded from Sandisk Extreme III to this card for my new camera. I do a lot of bird photography so this is perfect card for the new camera which can take 8fps. I'd highly recommend it.

What can I say but WOW, this card was half of the price than in the retail shops here in Australia. Fantastic card that works fantastically in my Canon 7D. Also the postage was fast and the cards where packed very well. Thanks for the great service
