No USB? Read this!,

This review is from: SanDisk Imagemate MultiMedia Card Reader (SDDR-11-01) (Personal Computers)
I'm running NT 4.0 at home (which doesn't support USB ports) somost of the compact flash card readers aren't compatible. The ImageMate was the best reviewed candidate, BUT IT'S NOW DISCONTINUED! I've tried everywhere. In it's place, I got the Microtech Parallel CameraMate... and it works AWESOME! My PC is 10 years old and has gone through three upgrades. I have a mix of IDE and SCSI ports connecting to a printer, scanner, pda docking station, and zip disk, and a wireless LAN antenna. In other words, my PC is a custom configured madhouse. I was very skeptical that I'd be able to hook up a reader and have it work. The Microtech worked perfectly the first time. That was a month ago and still no problems. If you can find the ImageMate, get it. If not, get the Microtech. |
