5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great with the Motorola E815
I've owned the SanDisk 1GB MicroSD card and a Motorola E815 for about a month. I use the card primarily for storing MP3s, videos, and photos. Access time is great--it seems to work as fast as the on-board memory.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked for 2 weeks
I purchased this based on the reviews and prior experience, but it lasted just 2 weeks in my new BlackBerry Pearl. Tried it in another device from our computer department and didn't work there. Will be trying another brand.

I've owned the SanDisk 1GB MicroSD card and a Motorola E815 for about a month. I use the card primarily for storing MP3s, videos, and photos. Access time is great--it seems to work as fast as the on-board memory.

This card will NOT work out-of-the-box in the E815. You will need to format the card on a computer using an SD and/or microSD USB reader. Get the SanDisk MobileMate 5-in-1 reader to do that ($13 on Amazon). It is not hard to format the card. If you use Windows, the card will show up as a new drive... simply go to 'My Computer', right-click on the new drive and choose 'Format'.

This is one of a few 1GB microSD/TransFlash cards that have been made (as of May 2006). A-Data appears to also have a 1GB microSD card. A 2GB microSD card is the in the works for late 2006.

This card ships with an SD adapter. So, you can put the microSD card inside the SD adapter to convert to a regular SD card.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snap, Shoot and Listen All You Want With Your LG VX8300, November 23, 2006

I bought this to use with the Verizon LG VX8300. It worked right out of the box, no problems. With this you can shoot all the photos and video you want and take along a lot of music as well. I use the included SD adapter to transfer music and photos between the phone and laptop. My laptop has an SD slot built in. If yours doesn't you'll need to use a card reader.
Of course the thing is tiny so it takes some getting used to inserting and removing it from the phone. Just use a little finesse and you should be fine. If you have a VX8300 you'll love having this MicroSD card.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 gb and samsung a920, May 11, 2006

i have been waiting for this card to come out of over three months. i must say that i waited until the right moment, especially when the price for this dropped. it work great on my samsung a920 cell phone, despite what the manual and salespeople say about using a card larger than 512 megs. the phone recognizes it with the correct size, and i have converted lot of small movies to view on my phone. i also have a few mp3 albums on it, and it's still only 20% filled. i am very happy with this product, and even happier i got it for under $50. incredible something so small can be a gig in size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked Out of the Box with My Phone and Camera, June 16, 2006

This review is from: SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card (SDSDQ-1024-A10M, US Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
The SanDisk 1GB MicroSD card combines a very useful amount of capacity with amazingly small size. At 1GB, it will hold hundreds of songs or high-quality pictures, all in a unit about the size of your pinky fingernail. I guess the next step in techological progress will be storing a terabyte on a speck of dust!

But the best part about it is that it worked right out of the box. Electronic storage should be something that we can take for granted - no formatting, no worries about compatibility with multiple devices, and this card delivers. I've used it with both my LG VX8300 phone and several different cameras with no hiccups at all.

Well, one small hiccup. . . It comes with an adapter that bumps it up to the size of a standard SD card. The description claims "universal" compatibility when using the adapter, but my three-year-old Viking IntelliFlash reader didn't know what to do with it. I called their tech support and they confirmed that not all readers will recognize the adapter even though it fits just fine. So you may be in for an upgrade of your card reader as well.

Overall, it's a great piece of storage at a very affordable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Used with Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx GPS, May 17, 2006

Use this memory card with Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx GPS since firmware 2.62. No problem found. It usally takes about 1 hour to transfer 1GB map data from PC to my GPS. It might be due to the slow USB 1.1 interface of the GPS. I guess most devices that needs this memory card still use USB 1.1 interface. So speed of the card shouldn't be a problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 GB MicroSD card in Garmin GSMAP 60CSx, August 6, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card (SDSDQ-1024-A10M, US Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Installed the card in the 60CSx and attempted to download about 500 MB from CNNA V.8. Made several unsuccessful attempts and decided that the card was defective. Purchased a second card and got the same results. Realized now that the cards were fine but something in the 60CSx was preventing the download. Garmin said the largest card they had tested so far was 256 MB. That being the case, I used a card reader and downloaded to the card in the card reader. Then, I installed the card in the 60CSx and that worked fine. I now have the entire Eastern US loaded in my GPS and the card works perfectly.

I have used this card in my LG Fusic phone and it has worked great. Amazingly small, like a fingernail. I stored 1 GB of music on it and it works wonderfully. The speed is fast too, don't bother with the ultra fast card. This is just enough for anyone. Plays well. Haven't had a problem. Definitely consider this product for your use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expanded Memory for Motorola RAZR V3m for Verizon, November 9, 2006

This review is from: SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card (SDSDQ-1024-A10M, US Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
The SanDisk 1GB Micro SD Card arrived quickly with intact sturdy packaging. I installed it in my Motorala RAZR V3m as expanded memory for my music library. Be sure to remove the RAZR battery to clear the access slot for the Micro SD. The V3m recognized the expanded memory without any problems. I used Motorola Phone Tools to transfer my entire music library. The program converts the mp3 file formats before transfer. The entire music library...a full 1GB...transferred reasonably quickly. The V3m is slow to access "My Music" using menu function #3 under "Get Tunes & Tones". Function #6 "Manage Music" accesses the library reasonably quickly and works well. The new corded Motorola SYN1301B stereo earbuds work well in this configuration. Sound quality is surprisingly good, but the large diameter earbuds are flat...not tapered... and do not seat very well in the ear canal. The SanDisk 1GB MicroSD Card provides great value at a very reasonable price for full optimization of the V3m as cell phone with "MP3" player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pefect for the Moto E815, June 13, 2006

This review is from: SanDisk 1 GB MicroSD Card (SDSDQ-1024-A10M, US Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Had this card for about a week now. I am using it mainly to store mp3's and photo's on my E815.
It has worked flawlessly just like all of my other sandisk SD cards.
The included adapter is great as I can also use the card for my digital camera if I should happen to run out of space on that card.

Great buy and a great price.

This memory card works perfect in my LG VX8300 for verizon. I have 80 songs on it now and it can probly fit about 500 and the 1GB card if you buy it through verizon is about $60 so this is deffinatly an excellent buy.
