A month after purchasing the back clip broke because it's cheap plastic.

Got one for each of the kids. They were sold when they saw all the same capabilities of the ipod, plus the feature of being able to listen to FM radio and RECORD SONGS FROM IT. Battery life is good, and not being tied to itunes is a plus. Simple interface to the computer, and you can use Windows Media Player to do everything if you wish. Pretty seamless. The kids are very happy... great features at a much better price than ipod.

First off, I love Amazon and have ordered countless items from/through them without issue. This changed today. We ordered my son and daughter each an MP3 player for a road trip. My son ordered the orange 4gb Sansa Clip Zip without issue. My issue is with the actual box this entire order came in along with the product we received for my daughter.

We ordered the SanDisk 4GB Sansa CLIP+ MP3 Player PURPLE Bundle w/ 4GB MicroSDHC Card (8GB Total) amp; BlueProton USB 2.0 Reader.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QYR7OQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We received both MP3 players in one shipment in a pathetic excuse for a box. I could see in from both sides and could easily pull open either side and take out both players. This is sub par on Amazon's part. Like I said, my son's orange Clip Zip was in the factory packaging and was perfect. My daughters player came in a white box labeled with:

-SanDisk 4GB Sansa CLIP+ MP3 Player
-SDMX18R-004G PURPLE
-SanDisk 4GB microSDHC Card
-BluePhoton 3in1 Reader

It also said "Certified Frustration-Free Packaging"

The MP3 player was in a little bubble wrap bag. The clip was broken off the back of the player. It also had an "R" stamped on the clip meaning it is refurbished. No where on the product page did it describe this unit as being refurbished. We paid for a new unit. The USB port was the older USB 2.0 Type B Jack as opposed to the new usb 2.0 Micro Type B jack of the current players. The microSD card was loose and sliding all around in a plastic SD card holder. We didn't receive a CD or paper manual, just a printed label with misspelled words and url's for firmware and manual.

This is my worst experience with this company. I immediately printed a return shipping label to return this MP3 player. I am giving this product the lowest rating I can. I am totally disappointed and will upload as many pictures as I am able to.

Purchased a $300 16gb IPOD Touch. Never opened it due to buyers remorse. Why was I spending $300 on something that I just wanted to play music. Returned it and paid ~$70 for a 4gb fuze with additional 2gb memory. Does everything I expected AND provides FM radio. Very pleased with the radio aspect...I tire of my music selection. Too bad no AM or HD radio. Found that the Radio setting should be set at World/Global in order to tune in the stations. Couple of user functions could be better but I'm NOT complaining. Can set up a number of user playlists. My wife & kids love this (better than all the CDs being carted around). Due to the price..I'm seriously considering getting one or two more so I don't have to "share". But my next purchase will be to get one of the plastic protector guards. This is a worthwhile purchase!

First of all, I wanted to get a Sandisk Sansa Clip 4 GB MP3 Player (Black) por its excellent sound, but then, I've learned on several forums that both the "Clip" and the "Fuze" have the same sound quality I decided for the latter because of memory expansion.
I have to say that this is one of my best purchases I've ever made from Amazon. The quality of this item including its sound quality and ease of use make it THE alternative to the sadly famous Ipod Nano. It has all the features plus Radio, voice recording AND memory expansion!

When receiving the device I noticed an engraved R on the back thinking little of, later determining it's a refurbished device, which is stated nowhere in the packaging description. A month after purchasing the back clip broke because it's cheap plastic. And of course my window frame to return the product has just passed. Luckily, I can still justify the price with the other products in the package. I love my old Sansa clip...the new one Is CHEAP! My advice, send the product straight back if you see the R.

Nowhere in the product description does it mention that the item is reconditioned. I received the Purple Sansa Clip+ with an "R" burned into the back. Actually, I ordered two and both have the Reconditioned stamp on them. First time I've had an issue with Amazon. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I guess I should've read the reviews before I ordered. I was firmiliar with the product from a previous purchase from a different supplier, so I didn't read the reviews. That'll learn me. Always read the reviews.
Although I was pissed that they're reconditioned, I charged one up, set the MP3 mode to "MTP" and loaded some music from Rhapsody. I was leaving for a trip with no time to replace/return the reconditioned unit and figured I'd try it. It appears to be working, but for how long?

As with the other reviewers, I unknowingly received a reconditioned unit which is definitely faulty. I should have known the moment I opened the packaging as the purple 4 GB Clip Sansa MP3 Player arrived in bubble wrap with no official Sansa packaging. The battery is faulty, only lasting 1 hour, it doesn't operate properly and can only be charged if the unit is turned on. The battery indicator is sporadic. Very disappointed in this product and the supplier.

Thankfully Amazon have offered a refund for this product.
