Great item if you have a phone that you like to upload music, pictures, videos, etc. All you do is insert your micro sd memory card that goes to your phone into this micro sd reader and connect it to your computer's usb port and copy your files to your memory card. Its that easy. No more need to look around for an adapter to put your memory card in then hook it on your usb because it goes straight with no adapters needed. Make sure you know where you place this little thing though, its very tiny.

The item arrived in good time for the free shipping. It arrived via USPS mail with a 64 cent stamp on it. The seller's return policy says that defective items with free shipping can be returned for $6 to cover shipping. This item was $2.68 including free shipping, which apparently cost them only 64 cents. So I'm a little worried they're going to try to collect the rest of that $6 from me.

A working microSD card inserted into the device didn't show up on any of my USB ports. When I moved the device to another computer, it showed up as needing to be formatted. When I plug the microSD card into an SD converter and then into my own SD card reader, it reads fine.

So the reader is junk. It wasn't worth the $2.68 I paid.

Sandisk Mobilemate Micro ReaderAlthough this thing is really small, it does a big job. I was able to download lots of music and pictures from my computer to my cell phone without a hitch.

In this case the the cheaper item worked best. I got this adapter for $3 and a SanDisk microSD to SD Memory Card Adapter for $1. I saw the reviews on this and thought perhaps I should also try an alternative.

This one lasted about 24 hours and stopped working. I did not even remove the micro disk from it and it just failed. The cheaper of the two the SanDisk microSD to SD Memory Card Adapter is still working.

This is a shoddy made item. That is all there is too it. Don't waste Your money. Get either few SD adapters or get one of the card readers. I got a Kingston 19-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-HS219/1 by Kingston for about $14 and have not had a problem with it. either go with cheaper adapter or get a full card reader. This is just junk

I had high hopes for this card reader. I bought 2, and both worked well... for a while. However, both died within 2 weeks. Very disappointing.

This worked fine for a few days. Now the PC doesn't recognize it at all. You might get one that works fine for months. I didn't.

Does what is intended to do if you have more than one phone/PDA with different media storage. Amazon has the best price. I carry it in my keychain.

I can't vouch for other sellers but I would just go and buy directly from Sandisk or brick and mortar store or somebody you trust online. Oddly enough, Amazon is listed on the Sandisk site as an authorized retailer. The reader I got has no lettering or numbers at all anywhere on it. It came in a shipping envelope with no retail packaging whatsoever. There is no way you would know who made this product or who was supposed to be the manufacturer. There was hardly any attempt at all to make this appear to be a Sandisk product other than the shape and color and description when I bought it. I realize it is only a few dollars but if it is a fake then say so. They are not worth a penny.

I not only called Sandisk and described the product where they then declared indeed the one I received was a fake but they requested pictures. I sent them two high resolution macro photos of the product and they called me back leaving a message that yes they confirmed this product is a counterfeit. For whatever reason, they said in the message that they are going to call me back again in 30 minutes. Not sure why.

I wil see if I can post the pictures of the fake
