Great Item,

Great item if you have a phone that you like to upload music, pictures, videos, etc. All you do is insert your micro sd memory card that goes to your phone into this micro sd reader and connect it to your computer's usb port and copy your files to your memory card. Its that easy. No more need to look around for an adapter to put your memory card in then hook it on your usb because it goes straight with no adapters needed. Make sure you know where you place this little thing though, its very tiny.

Sandisk Mobilemate Micro ReaderAlthough this thing is really small, it does a big job. I was able to download lots of music and pictures from my computer to my cell phone without a hitch.

Does what is intended to do if you have more than one phone/PDA with different media storage. Amazon has the best price. I carry it in my keychain.

Attractively designed and works flawlessly with a red tip to make it easier to find, should you drop it. A huge upgrade from my old iPod shuffle.

I would have given this 4 stars if I did not believe in the old adage "You get what you pay for." I did not pay for the cadillac and therefore I did not get the cadillac in this little gizmo. However, it does the job it is advertised to. It does have a tendency to need a little extra care in placing in the USB slot (does not slide as smoothly as metal tipped adapters.) I immediately put the lanyard on this baby as well as a longer one I had in my desk drawer (this thing is quite small.) I did place a spare usb cover over the end just to be safe. It does not click or anything when you place the card in. Again, at this price ($10) it is not a bad deal.

This worked fine for a few days. Now the PC doesn't recognize it at all. You might get one that works fine for months. I didn't.

The unit is about an inch long, and is made of a high quality abs plastic. The memory card slides into the unit protecting it. I keep my memory card in the unit as a storage device and have not had any problems. It reads sdhc cards as well as the older memory units, maintains good contact and is usb 2.0 meaning no more slow transfers between your pc and the memory card. All said this is a 5 star product!

Upgradeable Flashdrive,

Needed a new Flashdrive, and had a 1GB microSD card that was unused.MicroSD card fits in perfectly and doesnt change the size of the adapter at all. However, when using this with the M2 (for sony ericsson) it does stick out slightly. The lanyard and clip are kind of cheap feeling, but that can be removed and replaced with something else. My only fear is losing the unit.

So tiny, easy to always have in pocket for when might need to share photos or documents. Just the other day at the end of a meeting I was able to share some photos on my phone with a staff person who needed them for a report he was emailing to another department; popped out the micro SD memory card, gave him this little device, he could quickly transfer what he needed and I could get on my way within minutes. At another meeting I was able to quickly illustrate a point at by sharing a short video clip on my phone through the computer/projector. Brilliantly convenient!

The item arrived in good time for the free shipping. It arrived via USPS mail with a 64 cent stamp on it. The seller's return policy says that defective items with free shipping can be returned for $6 to cover shipping. This item was $2.68 including free shipping, which apparently cost them only 64 cents. So I'm a little worried they're going to try to collect the rest of that $6 from me.A working microSD card inserted into the device didn't show up on any of my USB ports. When I moved the device to another computer, it showed up as needing to be formatted. When I plug the microSD card into an SD converter and then into my own SD card reader, it reads fine. So the reader is junk. It wasn't worth the $2.68 I paid. |
