5.0 out of 5 stars Just as Good as Sony, Without the High Price Tag
I don't know what to tell you about the few naysayers who posted here; they almost sound like Sony plants who want you to pay double for thier brand, the way they trash SanDisk. But that's bull: the memory card works just fine. I've used it with a PSP, and I've had no problem downloading MP3s, photos and game cheats.

This isn't the first time I've bought...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great for everything but the PSP
Yeah, this worked great for about 12 hours. Then I was getting the re-insert card error. My PSP reads the card about 40% of the time, and even then I get serious lag when trying to play MP3's and Video. If you have a Sony Camera, probably a great card, but its awful when dealing with the Sony PSP.

This isn't the first time I've bought SanDisk, either: when I had Fuji digital cameras, I bought several and never had a problem. Then why the complaints from others? Maybe they had a bad experience. So did a few of those who bought the PSP the day it came out, but it didn't stop a million others from getting it. I'm one of them, and I'm glad I did.

So if you're easily scared into believing in the Boogeyman, go pay more for Sony. If you know that most of the time media storage devices work well (there are no gaurantees in life) and you want to save a LOT, then buy SanDisk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Been working good for me, June 9, 2005
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Bought this a week ago and it works perfectly. To all the people having problems recognizing the card in the PSP, you probably tried to format it on your PC. It says in the PSP manual to NEVER format the memory card in your PC, as your PSP will not be able to recognize it once you do this.

If you have to format the card, there's an easy and quick way to do it in the PSP option menu. NEVER format your memory card on your PC!

Well, I'm happy with this thing, no problems so far and you cant beat that price.

5.0 out of 5 stars great product! but read my review as an fyi..., June 1, 2005
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
first of all, i'm not reviewing this memory stick based on an irrelevant circuit city snafu with their price last year... nor am i reviewing it based on psp use.

i am reviewing this 512mb sandisk memory stick duo pro (as pictured here at amazon), based on the use with a sony digital camera, sony dsc-t7.

i initially purchased this at a brick and mortar store and was enthused at the terrific price for it, similar to amazon's price. however, upon inserting it, it did not feel right. it seemed like i was in for the negative reviews which people have been posting...
i fliped it, turned it over, it didn't seem right. it fit the slot sliding in and i pushed it down. i ended up having to remove it with a tweezer! lol.

simply put, i got a defective card.

upon returning it to the store, i insisted that it was defective and asked them if i could exchange it. due to the aforementioned circumstance, i wanted the sales rep to open the package and i wanted to see if the stick fit in the camera. low and behold, the new one did and the camera immediately recognized it. it's perfect and has been working very well.

just be aware, if you are going to a brick and mortar store, bring your camera and make sure that it actually FITS! you will save yourself the hassle of returning, explaining, contesting, exchanging, etc. if you go click and mortar, open the package immediately and test it right away. do not bring an unopened package to a vacation spot somewhere, only to be disappointed that it doesn't fit or that it may even damage your camera if you try to force it.

aside from the slight annoyance of exchanging it, it works perfectly and it functions like a normal memory stick should for a digicam... for storing, retrieving and transfering pictures taken. am very happy with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, April 2, 2005
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
I bought this for use in my Sony PSP and it works great with movies, photos and mp3s. The included adapter is useful if you have a MemoryStick card reader in your pc, and you don't have a usb cable for transfering data to the PSP.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Listen to SanDisk haters, December 21, 2005
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Listen carefully Sony hires SanDisk to make their MemorySticks so really your paying for the little painted letters S-O-N-Y. but if you like that sort of thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Equal quality to the Sony stick, August 16, 2005
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Its has the exact same specs as the one made by Sony except it sells for less. Ive used it for a couple months of picture takin on my Sony T7 and it has been working exactly as its supposed to reliably recording data as it recieves it.

I recommend it to all especially since you can use the money you save on a nice accessory like a nice Sony camera bag!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SanDisk SDMSPD-512-A10 512 MB MemoryStick Pro Duo (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
First thing to note: This is Sandisk's new smaller sized Memory Stick. As is, it won't work in almost any Memory Stick enabled device due to the size. HOWEVER, it comes with an adapter, and with the adapter, it works fine. This is a Memory Stick ** PRO ** device, and won't work, with or without the adapter, in devices that don't support the Memory Stick ** PRO **. Check your device for compatibility before buying.

I have used this Sandisk card + adapter in several Memory Stick PRO enabled devices and it has worked flawlessly with them. At the price, it is a steal!
