5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's suppose to
It's reliable and it's fast enough for my AVCHD camcorder that has a 17mbts/second data stream. What else could I ask for? Not one problem after at least 3tb of read/write.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't be happier with my 16GB SanDisk CLASS 6 SDHC memory card, December 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SanDisk SDSDHV-016G-A15 16GB Video HD SDHC Card (Black) (Personal Computers)
Before buying this card, I did quite a bit of research on SDHC cards in general. Firstly, there appeared to be quite a few issues with less expensive brands. SanDisk seems to have avoided much of the lost memory issues.

Secondly, I looked at the different "classes" - two, four and six. I believe there are higher classes for professionals. Class two is not recommended if you are looking to shoot high quality HD footage, and class four is the bare minimum, so I decided to go for class 6. I figure it'll stay technologically relevant for much longer.

Next, this card looked to be the best price for a class 6 card with 16GB of memory. I opted for 16GB over 8GB or 4GB for when I go on short weekend trips and might not bring my cpu to unload footage. Again, I film using high HD settings on my Canon VIXIA HF200 HD Flash Memory Camcorder w/15x Optical Zoom - 2009 MODEL and felt I needed more memory, but wasn't willing to pay for a 32GB card which can get pretty expensive.

Finally, this card is made specifically for HD video in mind, and I knew I'd be shooting more video footage than camera stills. That sealed the deal for me, and I haven't looked back since.

P.S. As others have mentioned - I did in fact receive a Class 6 card even though the picture provided is only a Class 4 card.

Good price but I'm not 100% sure that it is an authentic SanDisk product. Just doesn't look the same as others I purchased in store or on Amazon. Putting that idea aside, it performs well and was a reasonable price for a class 6 card. Also the seller shipped quickly.

I have heard alot of complaints about memory cards locking up or just flat out loosing pictures. Sandisk seems to have the least amount of complaints so I bought one. Almost 4000 pictures at 14.2 megapixels and over 9000 pictures at 5 megapixels. It also holds video at 760p if your camera can handle it. No problems yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sdhc card for video cameras., August 12, 2010

If your using a video camera and it is HD then you need at least this card or higher. I would say if you are recording in 1080 all the time then i would say use at least a class 10 card. This works very well in my samsung hmx-h200. I have recorded 30 min intervals in 720p with this card with out any issues at all. it will hold say 3 hrs of video at 720p depending on if you also have pictures or other videos on the card. this card does not say the class when you order but it comes as a class 6.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply a solid and reliable card, November 6, 2011

This review is from: SanDisk SDSDHV-016G-A15 16GB Video HD SDHC Card (Black) (Personal Computers)
Like many of you shoppers, I saw the great reviews for this SDHC card and gave it a shot. I've been using it heavily for about 4 months now and I have had NO issues whatsoever with this card yet.

To give you a bit of background, I use this for HD DSLR video with a Canon T2i. Even with the full 1080p settings, I never get any errors or buffering - something that has commonly happened to me with more expensive cards that are of higher classes. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to have your recordings cut out during important shoots due to card issues. I don't worry about that anymore with this card.

The only thing that I might give buyers a heads up about is the "4 hour" claim on the card. Not a big deal, but I noticed that for my equipment, the 16 GBs lasts about an hour.

Overall, im very happy with the card. It does exactly what it should. As you can see from the reviews, I'm not the only satisfied customer. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Performed As Hoped; Tight Fit in Slot, July 16, 2011

First, the Background:
I purchased 3 of these for my Canon HF M301 (same as the 300 and 30, just with no internal memory) high def video camera. I was looking specifically for 16GB cards, which gives me approximately 1h 25min of recording time at the highest quality setting. I didn't want anything bigger (for fear of losing 3hrs of video if the card failed) or smaller (have to change cards too often; too many cards to carry with me). I don't know why, but it took me a while to find this on Amazon. It didn't come up as a recommended product and I had to search for it for some time.

Now, the review:
My video camera says that a Class 4 card of certain brands is all I needed, but I wanted to get something faster like this Class 6 card, because I had heard the problems that some people had with lower class cards. Not specifically with this camera, but I'm taking a trip to Europe and didn't want to take any chances. But I didn't want to pay the extra money for a Class 10, when my camera didn't say it required it. I also felt very comfortable knowing this is a SanDisk card. I've heard way to many negative reviews on Amazon of some of the other brands when it comes to high def video with this size and class card (specifically PNY, Transcend and even Kingston).

I tested the card a couple of times by setting up the camera on a tripod and letting it record for the entire capacity of the card on the highest setting. Well, no problems at all. Recorded straight through with no errors, buffer issues, etc.

My only complaint, and the reason why I didn't give this card 5 stars and why I gave the Ease of Use rating 3 stars, is because the card doesn't fit in the camera nice and smoothly. It almost seems like the card is a little too big for the slot. All 3 cards were like this. Other cards fit just fine, but with this card there is some friction and it doesn't spring back out like it should. To get it out, I have to push it in (until you hear the click) and then actually pull it out using more force than would be expected. It doesn't spring back up part way like normal. On my camera there is enough room for me to grab it with my fingers, but you might want to check your camera to see if that will be an issue.

In summary, the card works great for video on my camera, the size was what I was looking for and the price is certainly right. I would recommend this product.

Read other reviews. Purchased based on reviews. Received brand new, retail package. Popped it in my Canon 550D/T2i. Formatted SD card in camera. Recorded some 1080p 30fps video. Works great. Cannot say the same for a PNY "Class 10" 32GB card which struggled to record 1080p video right out of the box. By struggled I mean the PNY card couldn't do 1080p whereas this Sandisk card CAN. I'm happy now!
