It may seem contrary to my quest for the one gadget to rule them all but I wanted a small, inexpensive, few-frills media player that would serve while working around the house and in the car <for the passenger to use>. My N900 does rule, but I don't want to break that while mucking about.

Enter the Clip+. It handles audiobooks (even Audible format) and podcast with bookmarking. This player handles everything except video (which you probably don't want if you are looking at a Clip+). Want FM radio? The Clip+ has it -- even recording - not just voice recording but the radio as well.

Oh, did I mention I am a Linux user? I want drag-and-drop music management. It handles non-Apple formats with grace and ease. Make sure the file suffix is "ogg" as "oga" is not recognized by the Sansa firmware. Or, just RockBox it and don't worry at all. Actually, I had to Rockbox it as the media refreshing would freeze about 3/4 the way through. For this I had to lower this from a 5-star to a 4-star. Not every end user would know about/how to Rockbox (although the process is dead simple, on Mac-Win-Linux).

Bought this little guy with a 32GB card and was hoping to have it as a battery packed, long lasting player. AS I ride motorcycles, I like to listen to music on my ride. Found this guy to last maybe 1-2 hours against a little chill, and dies. Even very unexpectedly at the gym too. 60-70 degree inside gym. The battery will show 60%+ of battery life, I turn my head and BAM, battery low alerts and it shuts down. I'll probably contact SanDisk and see what they can do for me and I'll be back to update based on my experience with warranty, service, etc.

As with just about every other review I've read on this I too had to get new earbuds...Ten bucks, skull candy from a local drug store..they work great!! I love this little guy!! I have over 10 hours of music I downloaded free, as well as synched it to media player and everything worked great!! I love the ease of putting on and taking off music.......the FM receiver is a little weak but not that big of a deal for me... Overall rating for this product would be 5 stars

I bought this product from amazon used, it arrived in working condition but had a small crack in it as well as sticky residue left on it. Seeing as I spent around $21 on it I did not have high expectations but I wanted an easily portable player that I could use on the go, and this seemed like a good option due to it's small size and the fact that it had a clip. It also is capable of expanding it's memory with a micro SD card which is a nice feature.

I knew that the player would be small but I didn't know that it would be as small as it is, it is basically the height of my thumb, but it's a great size to stash in your purse, pocket, etc.

A few features that I like about this player is that you can delete songs from your player and that it has an fm radio capability. I also like that it has an actual on/off switch that definitively tells you whether it is on or off. It also has actual volume up/down hard keys along the side of the player.

All in all it is a great player for the low price.

I love this little thing. So much better than the great hulking i-pods & phones. Clip it to my sleeve at the gym, or link it to my stereo in my car for my commute. It's awesome, intuitive menus, and it looks neat too.

If all you need is an MP3 player that has modern file compatibility and small size - this is your player. Controls are very easy and basic, no fluff or extravagance. Unit seems sturdy after months of use. Battery is good - enough for a few weeks of bumps. Recommended

Does everything I need it to, for less than 40 bucks. So far.

Pros:
-Price
-Drag and Drop/ Download right to Clip+
-Separate folders for podcast, audiobooks etc.
- Small
-Sound good
-Battery life is fine if you optimize your (limited) settings

Cons
- Wish headphone jack was on the top, or bottom instead of the side
-the clip is flimsy
-If the backlight goes off while navigating/deciding, it reverts back to where you were before you started navigating.
- Ports might gather dust.
