Great little item, as long as you don't lose it--I've lost three so far, so I've stopped buying them (I lost them because the device so little).

I purchased this MP3 Player for one purpose only, to play library audiobooks in the car. This device meets my basic requirements - it is compact, it has decent sound and easy navigation and it holds a charge well. The only issue I have with audiobooks is that the tracks are out of order in the music library - tracks 10+ come before track 1. This is a relatively minor inconvenience, but it does require navigating back to track 10 after track 9. The other issue I have had is that my device will randomly shut down in the middle of playing for no discernible reason. When I turn it back on, it picks right back up where it left off, so while it is a nuisance, it isn't something that led me to return the device.

They honestly don't make them like this anymore! I've tried it a few times and it works great! What sound! I can't believe they stopped making this. I guess downloading is what people do, but recording from FM is still necessary.

It only lasted 2 months, then wouldn't turn on anymore. Was hard to get it to stop, start, fast forward and rewind from the beginning. Wished I returned it right away when it was difficult to operate. I waited too long and had to buy a new one....different model.

I loved my first clip+ player like this but after years I lost it. Ordered one of the newer versions directly but the clip was broken out of the box so I went back to my trusty old version but this one died after less than 2 months of very limited use. I am so disappointed and now I have to find another small player and reload the music.

It's been 4 years since I purchased 2 Sansa Clips as gifts for my wife and daughter. Both have moved on to iPods since then and I gladly inherited them - I had to update the firmware after a couple issues but that did the trick as they both work like a charm. I expanded the memory on one of them (holds more music than the 32GB iPod I gave my daughter!). I use one for music during workouts and the other for audiobooks. Advice: purchase a good set of headphones for great, clean sound. Even after 4 years, this has proven to be quite a useful and reliable device.

I bought the Sansa Clip+ because of reviews I read on Amazon...thanks to all who wrote them, and steered me in the right direction. Apparently SanDisk has discontinued this model and its replacement isn't as good. I don't know about the replacement models, but this one (Sansa Clip+) is perfect; it works exactly like is should, holds a lot of data (in my case audiobooks), and the price was right. Thanks again to Amazon reviewers; your help is appreciated.

I have only owned the Sandisk for 9 months and suddenly it just stopped working.
It won't take a charge or plug into my computer. If this is the type of cheap product that Amazon endorses,
shop elsewhere.
