My first MP3 player was a Sansa e200 series 4gb. When I outgrew that device, I "upgraded" to a 8gb device, but it wasn't a Sansa. What a mistake!! I've now fixed that error by coming back to Sansa.
Here's how I see it: Pluses: Fast booting, bright screen. Great battery life. Responds quickly with a light touch on the touch pad. Although I'm not a big user, it is convenient to have a built-in FM radio. I really enjoy the sound quality. Cons: My biggest complaint (which I admit is relatively minor) is that creating an "on the go playlist" is a bit of a hassle as you have to go into a screen for each song and select it there. In the world dominated by that "other" company, I find that Sansa provides a pleasing, easy and economical alternative.

Device is great, don't buy from Blue Proton!,

I bought the device from Amazon and it shipped from Blue Proton. The device lasted only 5 days before it would not turn on anymore. Being a previous Sansa user I suspected something was wrong when the battery only lasted 3 hours after full charge. I thought maybe it was the larger screen? Way too optimistic.....by the 5th day, it no longer held a charge and would not charge when plugged in. I contacted Amazon which then forwarded me to Blue Proton. I sent the device back to Blue Proton and I'm on my 18th day waiting for a refund. Buyer beware. I went to Best Buy and bought it there. As for the device, it works great but I love Sansa's products. They're simple to use and are a great value....especially with Rhapsody to Go. There is something to be said about being able to return a device to a store when it doesn't work.
