I didn't know myself, so I looked it up on PCMag.com. Here is my edited version, for a (fairly) short answer: SD cards are also available in various speeds. If you're using a point-and-shoot camera... speed class won't matter much. If you're shooting high-resolution ... photos ...you need a quick card to take more than two or three shots at a time. SD cards are generally described by their Speed Class, ranging from Class 2 (slowest) to Class 10 (fastest). ...Class 2 is suitable for standard-definition video recording, while Class 4 and Class 6 can record high-definition video. Class 10 is the card for HD video ... According to Sandisk...Class 4 cards offer read/write speeds of 15 MBps, Class 6 cards ...20MBps, and Class 10 cards ...30MBps. Kingston...describes its Class 4 (at) 4MBps..., Class 6 at 15MBps, and Class 10 at 40MBps... ...Since even smartphones can record HD video these days, Class 2 cards aren't the best choice. They're simply too slow to record HD video... For their complete description, go here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388408,00.asp Hope this helps! Mark

At an average of 6 MB per song in mp3, about 1300 or so. This figure can vary greatly depending on the quality of the songs, since a higher quality, larger and therefore less fit.

Isabelle, I'm not a micro expert, but it appears this SanDisk will work with the Transform Ultra. A few sites suggest it would be compatible: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SPH-M930ZKASPR#content2; http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/samsung-transform-ultra-boost/4505-6452_7-35017873.html; http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201111/20111102064955068/SPH-M930_User_Guide.pdf

According to the owners manual, the camera may only be used with SD cards from 16Mb to 2 Gb. Nothing larger.
