2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly written - don't bother
This book is so poorly written that at first I had to force myself to read it. It is full of sentence fragments, typos, and the writing style is very sarcastic. My husband commented that it is like reading a heated message board conversation. The only reason I read the whole thing is that there are some truly alarming ideas in it. However I would certainly not recommend...

This review is from: The Sanctity of Human Blood : Vaccination is Not Immunization (Paperback)
This book needs to be read by everyone who is concerned about the welfare of our children. For years I have heard opinions on the pros and cons of Vaccinations... To be honest, I never really gave it much thought. After reading this book, however, I understand why some people get so enraged whenever Vaccinations are talked about. Dr. O'Shea gives *referenced* information concerning the horrors of the Vaccination Cartel (aka Drug Companies) and their power to control and dictate our health through Vaccinations. This book really changed my perception on Vaccinations! I also appreciate the fact that the book is written in a simple, non-technical format that will allow it to be absorbed by just about any reader. The title of the book didn't really "hit home" until after I'd read the book, but once it did, I realized what "Sanctity of Human Blood" really meant... I consider myself a fairly conventional and conservative individual, so it is even more amazing how deeply this book impacted me. If you are thinking of having children or are about to have children, YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK -- It will be the greatest gift you could ever give to your children.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for Parents, February 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Sanctity of Human Blood : Vaccination is Not Immunization (Paperback)
This well-researched book should be required reading for parents. Dr.O'Shea's down-to-earth language and no-nonsense approach makes the difficult subject matter easy to understand. He warns us to question, search, research and beware of following like sheep, just because our doctor says so. This book makes us want to learn more, and take responsibility for our own, and our children's health and well-being.

5.0 out of 5 stars The evidence speaks for itself, January 18, 2001

This review is from: The Sanctity of Human Blood : Vaccination is Not Immunization (Paperback)
Dr. O'Shea leaves no room for disputing that vaccines are harmful. This extremely well researched and REFERENCED work clearly lays out the facts about how vaccines contain known biological toxins and how children (and the public at large) have been living guinea pigs for these untested concoctions. The phrase "the benefits far outweigh the risks" mantra that one hears repeatedly from the medical establishment is absolutely ridiculous in light of the overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary going all the way back to Pasteur. If you are in doubt about vaccinating your child doesn't it make sense to err on the side of caution? You must inform yourself and look at the research. Don't cave in from the scare tactics from your doctor, school officials, or even friends and family. You can not read this book and come away with any other conclusion than "the risks far outweigh the benefits."

I had the pleasure of co-sponsoring a lecture by Dr. O'Shea on Vaccines recently and with his approval have made the lecture available on videotape. Contact me to get it. dlghealth@yahoo.com

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the book., September 8, 2001
By
W. Stern (New York City) - See all my reviews
This is one of those rare landmark books that comes along so seldom. Trying to find some solid documentation to support my instinct not to vaccinate my daughter, I was becoming frustrated. Much of what is written against vaccines seems so hysterical and unfounded. In this book, O'Shea provides reference after reference for what he says. The reader can't really argue with him. Every paragraph is backed up, and every reference I checked was correct. The style of writing is unusual, and I had to read the entire book twice before I realized that that this simple, funny book wasn't simple at all, but that it took all these underlying issues about immunization that nobody ever talks about, and explains them so clearly that I found myself wondering why I had never thought about them before. The description of the blood brain barrier, for example, was something I had never appreciated before. All the other books I had seen about immunization only had parts of the story. Finally here was a book that puts the whole discussion together by including the ideas from dozens of references. Learning the truth about vaccines takes so much time. If I had seen this book at the beginning I could have saved myself a lot of time.
I knew there were problems with vaccines, but I never knew the FDA ignores the scientific proof about the toxic ingredients. The statistics he put together on mercury were staggering, and should be taught to every grade school principal. Then to realize that even if all the toxic ingredients were removed, the problem of viral load would remain. I didn't know about the exemption laws in most states, or about the financial motivation the schools have to vaccinate every child. And the section where he quotes all the famous medical doctors was very powerful.
One of the other customer reviews was right, the one that said if you're only going to read one book on vaccines, this should be the one. For the amount of information packed into this book, and the bibliography that supports it, this book is worth twice the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books I've read on this subject!, November 28, 2002

I have done 100's of hours of research into the dangers of vaccination. This book is one of the most complete, easy to understand and well researched ones I've found. Many people do not know the other side of the story concerning vaccinations. I hope people will start to educate themselves and not just take their doctor's word for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ FOR ALL PARENTS, August 1, 2001
By
Jimmy (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
IF YOU HAVE KIDS, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! What a revelation! Dr O'Shea takes no prisoners in this thoroughly referenced, concise, and delightfully informative work. The book is so simply written that it seems like what he's saying is common sense. But then you gradually realize that this common sense is 180 degrees apart from what 99% of most media references say about vaccines. And he has the proof for everything he says! There is so much data here. This book is a very complete summary of the huge amount of solid scientific documentation that opposes our Immunization Schedule. It's a great starting point for someone who is just beginning to doubt that vaccines are really being legislated for the good of our children. Don't be taken in by the conversational style. Dr O'Shea is dealing directly with some profound issues here he confronts some very uncomfortable questions about the underlying history and philosophy of the entire field of immunization as it is practiced in this country. I had to read it twice before I appreciated the simplicity and clarity of what this guy is saying. If you only have time to read one book on vaccines, this is the one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best vaccination book and not as hard to find as it seems, November 9, 2007
I have read many, many books on this subject and I consider this by far the best. Full of facts and important information, yet easy to read. As a matter of fact, you will not be able to put it down. In addition, it is extremely well-cited. I want to mention that you can get the latest edition (11th) from the author's website www.thedoctorwithin.com for much less than the used copy for sold here.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Pentagon should read this "Last Word" on vaccinations, November 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Sanctity of Human Blood : Vaccination is Not Immunization (Paperback)
Much research is obviously behind this benchmark study of the dubious need for nationally sponsored as well as individual vaccinations.

This book explains why thousands in the American military as well as many in civilian life are objecting to shots that are not compatible with human physiology.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every parents "MUST READ", December 30, 2000
This review is from: The Sanctity of Human Blood : Vaccination is Not Immunization (Paperback)
A very straight forward, well researched, easily understood espose' on the diseases and the history of the vaccines that go along with them. I am NOT a conspiracy junkie, but I am the parent of a child who is brain injured from vaccines. This is a great book that I have used to explain my position on the subject. If you are a parent or ever plan to be one- READ THIS BOOK!! You must, in this day and age, take the health of your children into your own hands and not leave it to someone just because they have a medical degree. If doctors were able to all agree on every issue, you might not need to worry, but they don't. Only you can decide what's right for your children. The least you can do is inform yourself fully. Your children deserve that.
