(2 albums on 1 CD) The third in Ace's series of Dion's Warner Bros. output features the album Sanctuary, originally released in 1971, and was his last collaboration with producer Phil Gernhard. This album features David Bromberg on guitar & dobro. Suite For Late Summer came out in 1972, was produced by Russ Titelman and features the pedal steel of Sneaky Pete Kleinow. Bonus tracks include Richer Than A Rich Man, Running Close Behind You and Young Virgin Eyes.

I remember this from my parents playing it while I was growing up. My parents and their friends used to sit around our cottage campfire or living room and be entertained by the guitar players in the group and sing til late at night- Dion was a popular request. Brand New Morning, a cut off of Sanctuary was a song I played every morning before I went to a new school at 14 yrs old. This whole album explodes with Dion's kindness and gently walks you through how he views the world. This is one of my all time favourite albums.

I remember hearing Suite for Late Summer as an album through a friend in 1978-79. Funny neither one of us was ever into Dion but this album is truly one of the greatest albums I've ever heard in the singer/acoustic genre. Trust me I searched for this as an album ever since only to find it here on CD recently. The thoughtful lyrics, graceful melodies, and warm accompaniment make this a special experience. I would definitely recommmend this to any singer/acoustic fan.......Enjoy!

I remember hearing(Suite for Late Summer)as an album in 1979-80 through a friend. Neither one of us had ever been into Dion, but this is truly one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Since that time I have searched and wished this was available on CD. The thoughtful lyrics, smooth melodies, and pleasing sound are simple yet beautiful. It's a shame the man is remembered for "run around sue" This is a beautifully enjoyable album (as is Sanctuary) if you like singer acoustic stuff.....Enjoy!
