This is Sandi Patty's 1979 debut album and it contains a charming mix of the then-contemporary Christian gospel sound and at least a few gems. "Precious Lord" is a sneak preview of the vocal power and brilliant style that would make her the Voice of Gospel in the 1980's and beyond. "The Day He Wore My Crown" bears the striking dramatic lyrical strength that undergirds all of her best songs. This is a lovely introduction to a most talented singer.
