Amazon.com Product Description

SanDisk's Ultra CompactFlash is a line of high-speed storage cards designed for use with all digital cameras, handheld PCs, digital audio players, and other devices that feature a CompactFlash slot. This card is perfect for photographers who shoot many successive, high-resolution images and require high-performance data storage cards. In advanced cameras, these cards have been developed to save large image files as quickly as possible so the camera will be ready to take the next picture. It's ideal for photos of moving cars or trains, sporting events, or any other event that requires fast snapshot and recovery time.

SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash cards are fully compatible and interchangeable with all CompactFlash digital cameras. They also work with all SanDisk ImageMates and PC Card adapters.

From the Manufacturer

CompactFlash is the world's most popular removable mass storage device. The CompactFlash card is about the size of a matchbook and only weighs half an ounce. The card was designed based on the popular PC Card (PCMCIA) standard and can easily be slipped into these slots with the use of a low-cost adapter. CompactFlash technology has resulted in the introduction of a new class of advanced, small, lightweight, low-power mobile products that significantly increases the productivity and enhances the lifestyle of millions of people. These products include digital cameras, digital music players, desktop computers, handheld PCs (HPCs), personal communicators, Palm PCs, Auto PCs, digital voice recorders and photo printers. SanDisk, the inventor of this product, has led the market for CompactFlash since its inception.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definate Speed Increase, September 20, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Sandisk 128 MB Ultra CompactFlash Card (Personal Computers)
Just purchased this card to suppliment a standard 128 SanDisk CF and noticed that write times to my Canon G2 were literally cut in half with full resolution images. In my opinion it's worth the slight increase in cost.

I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix 4300 along with this 256MB Ultra card. The card is much about twice as fast as the non-Ultra one.

If you take lots of pictures, it's well worth the little investment....

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Card, Resonable Price...., March 21, 2002
By A Customer

This card is spectacular... I have had a Minolta Dimage 5 for a few weeks now. This card has very good download speed. For a camera with slow downloads this makes them fast. I have a jumpshot from my old camera and it is even faster. Worth the extra little bit of cash for a great card. I will be getting 256mb one next... Absolutely worth the cash...
