I bought this for my canon hf g10, but ended up using it for all sorts of things like moving files quickly from one computer to another. 128 gigs on a sd card is pretty neat and handy, sad that I used to think a 5 pound hard drive that had 50 megs was alot =D

overall I love it because instead of using both my SD slots in my HD camcorder I can use just one and have room to expand if needed.

I can back up my entire computer as a 'mirror image' to this little card. Put it away in a safe place, then when this machine has a non-repairable software crash, I can can use the card to restore it to its old useful self. I love it.

I've been shooting on SanDisk cards for years and I'm not about to change. Once again, their cards just work and work well. My only complaint about this card is that it's not cheaper - but it will be in time.

When I first saw this capacity in an SD card, I wondered if it was needed. After all, 64 GB, even 32 GB, should be plenty for my camcorder, so why go to 128? The price was more reasonable than I expected, and it is rated at 45 MB/s, so I decided to go for it on the theory that it will take the pressure off to keep moving video off the card to clear room. My high def video takes a lot of space, so this was certainly a consideration.

Well, it was probably more space than I needed. But not for long. My new laptop has an SD card slot, and I quickly determined that I could pull this card out of the camcorder and leave it in the laptop's card slot with tons of music, videos, and room to spare. It's like having a second hard drive in the computer, and I can use it to back up important files. The speed is fine, though I can't quantify it. All I can say about it is that music and video plays back without issue, and backing up files goes quickly. Also, I have the option of sticking this in the video camera, then sticking it back in the laptop to play back. It's great. Maybe I'm a candidate for 265 GB, though I don't know if they have those. The price point on this 128 GB was just right.

Dear Fellow Amazon Customers: The SanDisk 128GB Extreme SD Memory Card has proven to be an absolutely invaluable adjunctive storage modality for me. The file transfer rate with this SD memory card is extremely fast, and its overall quality and performance are excellent. Over the past two years, I have purchased several Chromebook computers because of their speed, simplicity, and security. Fundamentally, the Chromebook computers, and the Chrome operating system which controls them, are based upon the concept of web-centric cloud computing. In the paradigm of cloud computing, programs and applications do not reside within the computer, but are accessed from the web, or the cloud, which is essentially an extensive array of interconnected servers. Similarly, most data and files are not stored locally in the hard drive of the computer, but, rather, in the cloud. For this reason, and also for the purpose of minimizing the cost of the devices, most Chromebooks are only equipped with a 16GB solid state drive. However, many computer users value the convenience and privacy of internal storage, and are not completely comfortable with maintaining all of their data and files in cloud storage. The SanDisk 128GB Extreme SD Memory Card is the perfect solution for this dilemma. It is small and thin, it is very portable, it is extremely fast and reliable, and it has tremendous storage capacity. It provides the ideal mechanism for supplementing the internal storage capability of a Chromebook, and lessening the dependence of the device on a continuous internet connection for adequate functionality. The SanDisk 128GB Memory Card is a truly outstanding SD Card, and I give it my highest recommendation. Best regards, Ken Rodino, M.D.
