got exactly what i ordered, not all that computer literate. my son told me i needed it and do but haven't yet. he uses it on my laptop when he's home form school. hehe

I've never owned a laptop with a card reader, so this handy USB converter tool is very helpful to me. I use it to dump images directly off my camera and into Picasa for quick filing and organization. I read the negative reviews of the other consumers and I don't know how this thing went wrong for them. Mine's been working like a charm and I'm so relieved to have it on hand. I use it daily and it has never failed me. The 4GB SD card doesn't hurt, either: now I can take photos as large as I like and not worry about space at all.

I got this a few weeks ago, and the card works OK, but the reader has problems. I used it once, and now I can't get it to work. It is recognized by Windows, for a while, but when I try to retrieve the photos, it fails. The price was attractive, but it's going to wind up in the bottom of my trash can. Spend a few more bucks for a decent reader and get something that works.

Worked ok for a few weeks and then suddenly stopped working and my computer wouldn't recognize it. My other adapter worked just fine, so it wasn't my computer.
I have no idea what happened, but the plastic adapter kept falling apart too... cheap cheap cheap! Don't waste your time. Pay for a good one!
