I have used both the USB adapter that came free (but need to pay of nominal shipping) and original Sandisk adapter for the test and the speed is similar. Do note that the picture of the free USB adapter shows Sandisk USB adapter lookalike, but they are different.
Pros: Best bang for the buck. All 3 worked (first try since I have only received it last night) on my PSP Go.
Cons: Speed is really slow. Took more than 2 hours to load about 14GB worth of files. Speed is about 2MB/s for write and 6MB/s read. Furthermore, left with about 14GB space after formatting on my PSP Go.
Update-I ordered a replacement from Blue Proton and it was perfect. The m2 card's data transfer speed is just a bit slow. Overall, great product-4 stars. Just remember. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FROM KOMPUTER BAY!!! Like i said previously, you'll be paying 26 dollars for a cheap adapter sold for 2 dollars.
I installed Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Dissidia to my memory stick, didn't notice any maaajor loading differences with Dissidia(the load times were fast earlier, nothing to really notice) but with Birth by Sleep it's kinda required for a flawless framerate. I'm getting Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in a week or two, and it looks like I'd need to install that to my memory stick to be able to play it with great load speeds as well.
The games installed in about ten minutes each, and they all take up over 500 MB of data. The read and write speeds aren't noticeably better or worse than any other memory stick I've used in the past.
My only real issues with the memory stick are that it's wayyyy too small(could easily get lost if you're not careful) and that it's 16 GB but it ends up being 14 GB in the end; I totally didn't think about that when I bought the thing. Still, 14 GB is more than enough for 20 average-sized PSP games, more music than I'd ever need and a few episodes of Justice League all at once, I'd really need to waste space to use it all up.
If you own a PSP or a PSP Go do yourself a favor and get this thing, it's the best memory option on the market for PSP systems. Just remember to get a memory stick pro duo adapter along with it, those things usually cost $1 to $2.
