At first I thought this game was going to be too simple, but as I went up in levels it indeed does become a challenge.

I was looking for something to fill in after Plants vs Zombies, and for me this one does it. Been playing it for weeks and I have yet to beat all levels.

I think it's great fun and a real challenge.

Be careful however, like me you might want to turn off the "la la la" song that the defenders sing or it will carve itself into the back of your skull and it will take days to shake loose!

I am quite happy with my purchase for the simple fact that my 10 year old son is delighted with it. It has been a while since we purchased the download yet he still plays it frequently and keeps me posted on his strategy changes and their consequent effects. Cant ask for more than that from a video game!

"Monster Mash" is a fun tower defense game that is fairly easy to learn and has a lot of replay value. The graphics are obviously targeted at younger players, but the game play and required strategy (especially at higher levels) makes this enjoyable for older players as well.

The game involves protecting your village from maundering monsters that, conveniently, follow a well defined path by setting up defensive towers to destroy the beasties before they can eat up your friends and relatives (not graphically shown). You have several different tower types to build, each with it's own advantages and abilities that make it more or less effective against different monster types. You can also upgrade the towers and gather power-ups to make your towers more effective.

I could not run this in full screen mode on my Vista PC due to a cursor issue, but it ran just fine in a "Windowed" mode.

Tower defense games are where you put up stationary weapons to stop an onslaught of badguys headed for your tower, or in this case villiage. This is one of the best tower defense games out there. Maybe a little too cute for me, but still fun, and challenging in the later levels.

This is a fun game that mixes strategy with imagination.

Protect the village from the onslaught of goofy monsters by building fortifications with a simple click. Upgrade your towers and cannons for more power and frequency of fire.

The sound track is awesome. The monsters mock you in an eerily familiar way. The little people are worth saving.

The game is in an arcade style, which means once a player beats the highest level he starts from the beginning. For highest scores play from the first level to the last. (If you leave the game prior to completing the highest level, it will save your score and level.)

This is a fun game. I think I will enjoy it for some time to come and enjoy sharing it with the kids over the holidays.

**Accessibility notes: Game play requires fewer clicking than, say, a Diner Dash or Cake Mania, but the action is similarly paced. +3 Subtle changes in the villagers' song alerts the player to monsters who may have passed unheeded in an expanded blind spot. +2 The game board fits the screen, requires no panning, does not change during the level (no flashing) but only has moderate contrast. In addition the characters and other icons are rather small. +0,-1

This game was obviously targeted at kids, and that said, is one I would have no issue with my kids playing (unlike many others). I had not expected to be as absorbed by it as I was.... to the point where my son says "Mom, you need another game". he's tright, but I have nto yet found one which I find as enjoyable. I like tower defense games but do not like the advertising, the tracking cookies, the need to expose myself required by many of the online site, so I came here looking for a game I could play the old-fashioned way: purchase & install and do not worry abotu all that junk. This game gives you that, and beyond that is a good little game. It is challenging enough, but not so much so that the uninitiated can not complete it. It is very cute, but still requires some thought, some skill.

The soundtrack is reptetive... and not all that great (but not truly awful like super monkey ball and a good many games of that ilk).

If you like tower defense and are not put off by cute cartoonish art, this is worth a try. Too bad they do not have a demo, as I think some people might find they like it better than they would have thought. However, it is very inexpensive. At $5 for the download I was not expecting much, but this time got a pleasant surprise.

My wife was on bedrest with our second child and this game saved our sanity. Every night me and my five year old would go to the hospital to spend time with her. After dinner and talking we would play this game on the laptop. The goal is to protect your villagers from monsters. You build several different tower types as the levels and the toughness of the monsters increase.
