This book is well written and the story flows easily from front to back. The only problem is the back comes too soon and the story is left hanging. I wish this book had been 4 times as long but it gives us a snapshot into a unique part of the war and one man's life. So despite the brevity I do not regret buying this book and recommend it to readers who want to read something more personal than the typical documentary or history of a soon to be forgotten war.
