The Voice of Jay Black at work.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sands of Time / Wax Museum (Audio CD)
Here is the voice of Jay Black far out playing the song content of this album. Most of the songs are worth a listen if only because Jay could sing so well. As with all Jay and the Americans albums at least 50% of the songs just are not up to the talent singing them. I wish someone back in the 60's, 70's would have taken this group aside and let them hear how good they could sound and how bad they could sound on the same album. Jay could sing in a class with a Roy Orbison, but where was the material?

Don't miss this CD,
By "racetrackray" (Toms River, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews

If you are a Jay and the Americans fan put this one on your list to buy. They sing many great tunes that were recorded by other artists but Jay's talent shines through as he delivers them in his style. When I got it I thought I was going to wear it out, I played it so much. 24 great songs and you will love them all.
