4.0 out of 5 stars This "Sandstorm" Blew Me Away!, January 27, 2001
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
I am really feelin' this track and I first heard it from the clip provided for me on Amazon. Than at school during lunch they were playing "Sandstorm" and my friend that I previously recomended it to was like "I Love This Song, who is it, I Heard It Before". So That day we both purchased this Single and where feelin' it. This song is an instrumental track and I was disappointed with the remixes because how can you remix an instrumental track with out making a new song.

Track Listing:

1.) Sandstorm - Radio Edit (3:46) = This is an edit of the original mix. I guess its purpose was if you were running out of time that you could hear the song in its full entirerty.

2.) Sandstorm - Original Mix (7:24) = This is the original mix that has taken so many people's breat's away.

3.) Sandstorm - JS16 Remix (7:19) = This remix dissapoints me since in no way does it even reflect to the original version. It's like a whole new song. I think This single would have been just fine without remixes.

4.) Sandstorm - Ariel Remix (6:43) = Now this remix is more similar to the original and you could actually tell that its the same song just in remix form. If I had to say I liked one of the remixes it would be this one, because I'm feelin' it to a point.

Darude is rumored to be popular in Europe so hopfully he'll take the U.S by surprise too, thats if he hasn't already with this single. This song is like the ultimate dance track. Who said you have to go to the desert to be cought in a "Sandstorm" when you can just buy a "Sandstorm" here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't stop dancing, April 8, 2001
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
I have been trying to find this title months and lo' and behold here it is. The BEST dance song out there right now. The first time I heard this at the club I was totally in awe. I could not dance hard enough. You cannot help but become a part of this song, it literally forces you to get up and move. ******* Once again, THE BEST CLUB SONG BEING PLAYED CURRENTLY**

5.0 out of 5 stars Okay, so it's overplayed..., August 18, 2001
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
...but it's hard to deny how infectious this track is. Sure, this is big, anthemic trance that everyone and his mother is now aware of, but it's one of those tracks that's so danceable ya gotta love it. Nice to see they have a US single release. (All too often we have to shell out the extra few bucks for an import.) This is a very solid disc, too. You get the radio edit everyone knows, the proper original version, and 2 very good remixes. The highlight I think is the JS16 Remix, which turns into a full blown trance track that sounds straight off of Paul Oakenfold or somewhere. Not very original, but highly enjoyable. The Ariel mix takes that great sample and turns out a solid remix that'll get you moving in your living room (or car.) How many ways can they mix that dun-un-un-un-un lick? Plenty, I bet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of Pop Trance, May 16, 2001
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
While I usually find it prudent to avoid overhyping popular trance, this is just a great track. More than just accumulating massive popularity, it has spawned a whole range of remixes and even remixes of other songs that mirror the rhythm of this track.

Many complaints about Anthemic trance involve it being "too predictable" or "suffering from a power outage". This track lacks those problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST!!!, January 10, 2001
By
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
For anybody who loves to dance to highly addictive synths and beats, this song is a must. Featured on many different dance compilations (ie; Dance Party 2001, Ministry of Sound: The Annual 2001) this song it undeniably one of the best songs out there on the dance floors. Slowly starting with a nice synth, the song then rises into an outburst of the best dance music. A definite must for anybody...

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS SONG ROCKS, March 22, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
The first time I ever heard this song was in Dublin, Ireland, last October. They played it every night at the club we were going to. Being from the USA as everyone knows we are WAY BEHIND when it comes to trance/dance music. When we first heard this I asked the DJ who did it, it was ranked #1 last summer in Ibiza, Spain and MTV europe even uses it in there commercial. This song lifts me up like none other, everyone would run out on the floor at the first couple of beats, they had there laser light system and strobes hooked up to the beat of the song it was OUTSTANDING!!!!! every night they would play it and everyone would go wild!! if I had to throw out all the music I bought over there and keep one song this would be it, I hope they start playing it over here in the near future, it is definitly breathtaking.

5.0 out of 5 stars IT'LL BLOW YOU AWAY, September 19, 2001

This review is from: Sandstorm (Audio CD)
First time I heard this on a club in San Diego, CA, it blew up my mind so bad. I asked myself,"Oh my gosh, what's the title of this music and who made this?" I had been looking for this music for months and I don't have any idea where to get it and now I finally got it. I listened to it first to make sure that's the one I'm looking for, and yes, it is. I recommend this "Sandstorm" to all the people who wants their mind to go crazy. I just listen to this every single day I go somewhere. I go crazy and dance this music inside my house and feeling like I don't care what anybody else think. This "Sandstorm" is like a trance-rave music type and I like that. Darude, the person who made this music, YOU ROCK BABY!!! You made my night so happy because of your music, SANDSTORM.

Darude has got a major hit on his hands. The best insturmental track I have heard since "Children" by Robert Miles. The track just flows very well, words are not needed when music sounds like this. I have not heard it on any of the radio stations around here. I just hope people continue to be exposed to this record because it is truly special.
